Eagles-Bears one-liners

Phil Sheridan of the Philadelphia Inquirer thinks that the Eagles did enough to avoid beating themselves in a 24-20 victory over the Bears.

Among the mistakes the Eagles had to overcome were two penalties and a sack allowed by T Jason Peters.

Eagles RB LeSean McCoy’s game-winning touchdown run was redemptive after a fumble earlier in the fourth quarter.

DT Antonio Dixon helped the Eagles escape damage following McCoy’s fumble by blocking a field goal.

Eagles CB Sheldon Brown aggravated his hamstring injury but remained in the game because CB Asante Samuel had to leave with a stinger.

Bears QB Jay Cutler missed on several deep throws and threw an interception with less than a minute to go in another disappointing prime-time performance.

Rick Telander of the Chicago Sun-Times calls Cutler a gigantic bust for the Bears.

Bears RB Khalil Bell broke free for a 72-yard run on his first NFL carry.

Bell’s run couldn’t obscure another lackluster day from the Bears rushing attack.

Bears WR Devin Hester got caught with his pants down during the last drive of the game.

They NEED to Fire Lovie, and bring in Mike Shanahan.

Looked like two 8-8 teams battling for the best mediocre team trophy.

Eagles are year in and year out far better a team than 8-8. Even with a 9-6-1 record last year, they went far in the playoffs. 8-8 my ass!
The Bears would be lucky to go 8-8 this year, however…

It’s idiot hacks like Telander, writing reactionary and sensationalist articles like that one, who might turn the city of Chicago against Cutler and eventually run him out of town (and watch him go off to a different team and have success).
I really hope the people who read his articles are smart enought to know that he’s full of crap and his pieces are idiotic.

Except for when they go 9-6-1, 8-8 or 6-10, like they’ve done in three of the last four seasons.

Yeah, I’ve been on this site for a while now and I very rarely comment but through all the comments I’ve read on previous articles, I’ve come to a unanimous decision:
Vox Veritas is a complete puss-cake

Wait! Did this say that Jason Peters, the greatest, injury prone player in the world gave up a sack? A key sack? No way! He was a pro bowler that Buffalo let go and got hammered for it. I am stunned by this.
