The Cowboys don't have weapons. There is a perception that they have weapons but actually they have a collection of average skill players who are broadcast nationally almost every week. Romo is an average quarterback throwing to average receivers and an average TE. If you want to challenge that just look at their production. Guys like Chris Berman will rave about Jason Witten and the dude has 1 TD and there are 10 other TE's with more yardage. So who really has a problem with Roy Williams or anyone on this team being called out? No one on that team is untouchable. The playoffs consist of 12 teams and all but maybe 1 team will have a winning record and the Cowboys are 2-3 against winning teams...pretty average.

"'At least as a Skins fan I can take solace in the fact that the Redskins were playing with 3rd and 4th string RB's, no Cooley, a mash unit of an offensive line that lost a 3rd stringer to a broken leg, no Haynesworth, and still almost beat your "stellar" team.'
I think the Deadskins may need a new strength and conditioning coach. But seriously, that all makes you feel better about your 3-7 team?"
Sure it does considering how clueless my team's owner seems to be. At least my team isn't stacked with talent (supposedly) and touted by me and my mutual fans as something that's going to roll the division/conference only to watch it crash and burn once again. Yea I can take solace in the fact that your team was LUCKY to beat mine when mine was so significantly short handed, and playing on the road. My team's supposed to suck, your's is supposed to kick ass but all evidence points to yours sucking just as much ass as mine, and very likely going down when the game is at Fed Ex. The Skins will have guys like Haynesworth and Portis and some other injuries back by then. Who knows maybe we can spoil your playoff chances once again, that's enough for me at this point, I sure as hell know your team isn't going anywhere. The Saints or Vikings will absolutely crush them if the Cowboys even make the playoffs.
"I bet the off-season can't get here fast enough for you so you can start talking about how the Deadskins are Super Bowl bound again."
Nope, try again, projection never has worked with me Lightweight. You're the one who talks big smack about your team in the offseason only to watch them underachieve and crash and burn every year. I tend to be a skeptic with Vinny on board and no attention to lines, but I've had more post season happiness than you have since Snyder took over. I know facts aren't always your friend but that's one you need to face. Your owner is merely the other side of the same coin as mine, they both flat out suck, think way too much of themselves and need to hire football guys, pay the bills and stay the f%$# out of the football side of things.
"The Redskins suck donkey balls on Offense yet their O still played dead even if not better than yours did all game."
I must have missed the touchdown they scored. I'm sure you didn't miss the TD that the Cowboys scored. It was the game-winner.
You must have missed the two field goals (that would be 4 scoring drive to your two if I also give you credit for the missed FG) the Skins missed though as well as the two dropped interceptions. You also must have missed the total passing yards and QB rating put up by Campbell compared to Romo. The Skins pass O has been arguably the worst in the league and continued on Sunday yet your boy Romo wasn't able to outdo and actually played worse for most of the game and going back into the last game as well. He should have had 4 INT's!
"Excellent defense or inept offense?"
Both for the Redskins, I can guarantee none of your team's O is proud of barely out scoring an O that was on it's 3rd string Rb, 3rd and 4th string linemen at 3 positions and 2 others that probably wouldn't make anyone's top 10 list for their positions. If I were a Dallas fan I'd be downright depressed, (like my next door neighbor who wouldn't even come out on Sunday night) knowing that once again there's been lots of hype but very little substance.
"'That says a hell of a lot more about the crappiness that Dallas fields as a squad than it does Washington.'
7-3 and 3-7 says all that needs to be said about those two teams in relation to each other. What does it feel like to know that you won't be making the playoffs before Thanksgiving even gets here?"
The fact that your team was lucky to beat that 3-7 team, has to play them in their joint again along with several other tough games, is historically prone to choking in December and isn't going to do a damn thing once again this year after Super Bowl smack talk is enough to make me feel just fine. How's it feel knowing that your jacked up overrated squad of chokers will be sitting at home watching the first round just like mine will huh Cletus? Gotta love Phillips, average enough to bet on!
"'We all knew the Redskins sucked on O and we all knew JC was average at best but we've been hearing you mental midget Puke fans telling us how all world Romo and Co are but they crap the bed when it matters time and time again.'
Seems like they came through when it mattered yesterday. Against what you say is an "excellent defense"."
1 score....1, held scoreless for 57 minutes, got lucky the opposing team dropped sure interceptions and missed normally made field goals. 3 catches for WR's that were supposed to torch Washington, none until the last drive. That aint clutch Roxy, that's textbook weak. Your O didn't win that game, the Redskins' own offensive ineptitude did em in. If you wanna hang your hat on that offensive performance knock yourself out. But the apparent glee of Jimmy Johnson at Dallas' front office hilarity is all ya need to see to know your team is just as sick and infected as mine is. The difference is clowns like you haven't faced that reality and will continue to enable Jerrah with support a lot longer than a Redskins fanbase that has even made the most ardent homers face reality; the GM's got to go and the owner needs to butt out.
"'The Redskins have arguably the worst GM in the business (although Jerrah does his best to win that award annually) and have starters on their O line that wouldn't even make most squads yet your amazing team was lucky (that's right chump LUCKY...as in a kicker who's 13 of 13 and money inside 45 missing a 39 yarder)'
Suisham sucks. Deadskins should stop signing the Cowboys' throwaways.
Ahhh can't have it both ways...either numbers speak for themselves (3-7 vs 7-3 you referenced previously) or they don't 13/13 is 100% slappy and was leading the league. He has sucked before but so did Akers at one point. Kickers often improve...big stretch with a technique position, right Roxy?
"'to beat them and took an entire game to score anything at all.'
Naah, only 57 minutes."
Yawn...was that supposed to be funny Lightweight?
"'Oh and Roy Williams makes the two rookies Washington has -who can't do a damn thing- look promising.'
I thought Orakpo looked pretty good. Of course he's from Texas. Too bad his talent will be completely wasted until he gets out of the football wasteland known as the Washington Redskins."
Yawn....that "wasteland" has produced playoff success more recently than the degenerate goup of chokers you root for Roxy.

MDstar08- I know you need 2 running backs. I just think that Betts is better, not now since he's down for the year. I saw a team come alive in the Atlanta game when he came into run. Dallas best lineman was put on IR last week and I don't care how much he weighs they still would have run the ball....I guess we'll have to wait for the Fedex Field matchup.
I dont know how you can say that Haynesworth doesnt do anything when clearly every announcer in the 10 games the Skins have played has said that Haynesworth in the lineup is a HUGE factor. The cowgirls wouldn't be able to do too much w/the running game, and we would have gotten even more paces on romo. Just cause Betts has played well for 2 1/2 games doesn't mean he and Portis or even Portis and Cartwright couldn't do something, but the Oline has been shuffling around. The Oline has had 1 solid game thats it.

"No he isn't a number 1, but the Cowboys have more weapons than most teams...he doesn't need to be a number 1."
Actually he is the #1 WR on the Cowboys, as in the "X" receiver in the scheme. As in the "XYZ" WR designation. That's the role he plays. N00bs that base this on catches and yards don't understand how NFL offenses work. It has nothing to do with stats, has everything to do with strategy. Routes, read progressions.
Remember that long catch-and-run that Alvin Harper came up with on a slant against the 49ers in the NFC Championship Game years ago? He (the Y receiver) and Irvin (the X) switched sides for that play. Harper ran the X route and was first read.
A lot of the plays be isn't playing as the first option or the number one reciever. As a Cowboys fan I agree with you about how great this team is, but he isn't what they thought he would be. That's ok though, he is still a good wr and can help this team win. I think he'll be a big target for us in the PLAYOFFS! Go COWBOYS!!!

"They held em scoreless for 57 minutes mullethead. That defines excellent defense. Oh and the Skins pass D is top 5 right along with their overall D going up thanks to your juggernaught offense doing their best to lay a goose egg."
Make up your mind. Was it "excellent defense" or terrible offense?
"At least as a Skins fan I can take solace in the fact that the Redskins were playing with 3rd and 4th string RB's, no Cooley, a mash unit of an offensive line that lost a 3rd stringer to a broken leg, no Haynesworth, and still almost beat your "stellar" team."
I think the Deadskins may need a new strength and conditioning coach. But seriously, that all makes you feel better about your 3-7 team? I bet the off-season can't get here fast enough for you so you can start talking about how the Deadskins are Super Bowl bound again.
"The Redskins suck donkey balls on Offense yet their O still played dead even if not better than yours did all game."
I must have missed the touchdown they scored. I'm sure you didn't miss the TD that the Cowboys scored. It was the game-winner.
Excellent defense or inept offense?
"That says a hell of a lot more about the crappiness that Dallas fields as a squad than it does Washington."
7-3 and 3-7 says all that needs to be said about those two teams in relation to each other. What does it feel like to know that you won't be making the playoffs before Thanksgiving even gets here?
"We all knew the Redskins sucked on O and we all knew JC was average at best but we've been hearing you mental midget Puke fans telling us how all world Romo and Co are but they crap the bed when it matters time and time again."
Seems like they came through when it mattered yesterday. Against what you say is an "excellent defense".
"The Redskins have arguably the worst GM in the business (although Jerrah does his best to win that award annually) and have starters on their O line that wouldn't even make most squads yet your amazing team was lucky (that's right chump LUCKY...as in a kicker who's 13 of 13 and money inside 45 missing a 39 yarder)"
Suisham sucks. Deadskins should stop signing the Cowboys' throwaways.
"to beat them and took an entire game to score anything at all."
Naah, only 57 minutes.
"Oh and Roy Williams makes the two rookies Washington has -who can't do a damn thing- look promising."
I thought Orakpo looked pretty good. Of course he's from Texas. Too bad his talent will be completely wasted until he gets out of the football wasteland known as the Washington Redskins.

You're a fat, internet tough guy who lives in his mother's basement and, judging by how much you love playing Magic: The Gathering, has never known the touch of a woman.
The best part is, this isn't trash talk. Anyone can Google "Vox Veritas" and figure it out for themselves.
My question to you is -- why, being trapped in such an ugly troll body, you choose to be such an ugly person? You can control how you act towards other people. I guess you can also shave that 'stache.

wow at all the threads mentioning Vox. That dude owns some major space in your heads.
But as for the article. Roy is terrible, plain and simple. And their offensive woes recently seem to stem from the fact it looks like TO part 2. they seem to be trying to force the ball to this at best #3 receiver on ANY team.
Jerry should just admit he made a mistake and punt butterfingers2.And yea, I know he won't during the season, but I can see it soon.
And as for Landry. Big talk after a loss. That guy makes Dieon Sander look like a capable and willing tackler. Which in essence leads to knowing what a big bag of suck Roy Williams is. If you are scared of Laron Pansy, it is hopeless.

I live in the DFW area, am a huge Longhorns fan, and also favor the Cowboys. I wish I could say that Roy Williams was a good find, and I truly wish the guy well.
BUT, the truth is Roy Williams is a bust, and is finished in the NFL. I didn't have to read Laron Landry's comments to know that Roy is scared, all I had to do was watch him play. Roy took too many hits in Detroit. Once you're afraid of getting hit, you're done. Put a fork in the guy.
Roy, call it a career and see if you can get a booth job somewhere. Impersonating a football player will just continue your embarrassing decline.

shazard01:
1. Skins D is rank top 5 in passing and overall 2. 3 starting Olineman are out, 2 that are on IR, Portis isnt done its cause the line is shitty this season. In the NFL now, teams need 2 RB's. Therefore it needs to be Portis and a change of pace back and maybe another back. Also how the hell can you say Haynesworth would get pushed around, he's 350 lbs. like a serious, wow...

"All I can say is how was that opening day and cowpie field "
Better than a four game losing streak, that's for sure.
Just a hair away from 5, too. The Giants aren't good enough to be looking past the Broncos.

i love the way the skins talk crap after a lose..talk about a loser mentality...how about making a play on defense for once when it counts...these guys cheap QB's, fight other teams, call other teams stupid names...talk about unprofessional but that is what u get from that weasel org...
talk with u next yr skins and it is going to b years before u r competitive."
Years before we are competitive? Didn't Dallas take 57 minutes to score against the redskins? The Redskins missed two field goals. The Redskins offensive line is about atrocious as they come. Campbell passed for his 3rd most yards this season against that Dallas defense. 6-7 score but still years from being competitive? A -32 point differential over 10 games equates to losing every week by 3.2 points. Given all the offensive problems especially at offensive line I'd say our team is still pretty damn competitive.
P.S. Do me a favor and learn to properly write/type the English language.

Honesty never mattered to a lowbrow Eagirls fan (they're criminals that are bitter from living in a filthy, polluted trash heap of a city) but thanks for the backup anyway.

"What does the Redskins record have to do with anything? Landry called Roy out. "
Yeah. AFTER the game. He was afraid that RW would smack him in his overrated pie hole. Laron Landry = cowardly Smokey from "Friday".
"He don't scare me. When Roy be around I be quiet... when he leave I be talkin' again".

"20-16 IN PHILLY? what? Must not suck that bad."
It's hard to say really, the Eagirls are far from a good test. Their defense doesn't play smart and can only get pressure by blitzing the house. Their DBs aren't good enough to cover for that constant blitz. Their offense is one-dimensional. Take away the big play and they have nothing.
