Marc Bulger out 3-6 weeks with fractured knee

When Rams starting quarterback Marc Bulger spoke to reporters after Sunday's game, he sounded questionable for Week Twelve because of a head injury.

Now another problem will keep him out for at least the next three games.

Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that a MRI revealed a fractured knee for his starting quarterback.  It's officially a tibial plateau fracture.

The injury doesn't require surgery.

"It's just crutches. He'll have to say off it for a while," Spagnuolo said.

Kyle Boller will start against Seattle, Chicago, and Tennessee the next three weeks.  The Rams were showing some improvement of late despite a 1-9 record, but this injury makes the season feel a little more hopeless.

It's unclear if the Rams are considering placing Marc Bulger on injured reserve.  If they do, Bulger's eight-year tenure with the Rams could be over.

Please tell me you guys saw Steve Young blast Matt Millen at about 7:15est for his main job being "Screwing things up".. WOW, I'm surprised it took this long for some one to lay the lumber to him.. Looks like Steve Young is becoming a red-ass in his old age..

And how did he even get into Michigan to call the OSU v Michigan game?? That dude should be allowed back there right before Michael Jackson is allowed in a kids bedroom..

And the Bulger era comes to an end. Hope he likes the feel of a clipboard with his new team next year.

Bulger is a really tough dude who has been beat to crap more than just about any QB in recent memory. He's done a gritty job for one of the most horrible teams in the league. Former Pro Bowl MVP put through years of meat grinder.

And now the Rams draft Tebow and make him the highest paid rookie ever just to find out that can't be an effective passer in the NFL.

Marc. you've done your best, its time to rest. I hope you survive long enough to see what a Spagnoulo team is really about!

Rams fan who completely appreciate what he's done for the organization. People always say, too bad you let go of Warner. FOR ANYONE thinking of making this comment, Bulger completely outplayed Warner when Warner's tenure with the Rams came to an end. Bulger has been a trooper, and he's been a very respectable QB for years. However, any QB hit as much as Bulger has will go down for the count eventually. I'd love to see Bulger in a Rams uniform next year (at a reduced pay-rate of course).
