Saints-Bucs one-liners

The Saints spread out a thin Buccaneers secondary in Sunday’s 38-7 win, using a three-receiver set on the first snap of the game.

Mike Bell, scorer of two touchdowns against Tampa Bay, appears to have taken over as the Saints’ go-to back in the red zone.
Sean Payton’s coaching staff did not activate newly signed CB Chris McAlister for Sunday’s game because McAlister isn’t in playing shape yet.
The Saints joined the Colts as the only two undefeated NFL teams remaining by improving to 10-0 on Sunday.
Bucs rookie QB Josh Freeman took a step back in Sunday’s loss, turning the ball over four times and throwing for just 126 yards on 33 pass attempts.
Freeman seemed to take the poor performance in stride, saying afterwards that he doesn’t “see it was a problem going forward” and that he merely had “an off day.”
Tampa Bay fans seem to believe that Raheem Morris will stay on as head coach in 2010, but are pulling for defensive coordinator Jim Bates to be fired.
HBO Hard Knocks hero Chris Pressley, signed off the Bengals’ practice squad earlier this year, started Sunday’s game at fullback for the Bucs.

Bucs fans aren’t “pulling for Bates to be fired”, we’re demanding it. If he stays it will prove ZERO accountability by the coaching staff.
There are some really good pieces in Tampa’s defense, as good or better pieces than what Monte Kiffin had to work with and took to a top 10 ranking last season.

but for the record… we hope they all get fired… we just don’t think Raheem will get fired.

Well Hoss… look who’s laughing now. I feel like I can take take credit for it. Like the Windows 7 Commercials. “firing Jim Bates was my idea.”
