Marty would be a far better hire than another “not yet ready for prime time” Coordinator, like Morris, Haley, Zorn or McDaniels.
Fortunately Wilson appears to only be talking to experienced former Head Coaches.
Marty would be a good fit in Buffalo. Like to see it happen.

Say anything you want about Marty hes a great coach. Marty ball (smart football) will win you alot of games. Just has to take a few more chances down the strech. Chargers are alot better off w/ Norv right? How the Cheifs been doing since hes been gone?

I am not a big fan of the relatives thing in the NFL. What happens if Brian doesn’t do a good job as the head coach? Would Marty be able to put family aside and fire him?
What happens if Marty were to get fired? Would Brian still feel comfortable working for the team?
The pressures of the sport are tough enough without throwing the complications of family relationships into the middle of it.

Why not Dennis Green? He’s available, has a history of putting a good team on the field and goes to the playoffs almost every year. Of course his playoff record sucks, so you fire him after he gets you to that level and hire someone else to finish the job. The guy has a proven track record of drafting good, players like him, and winning during the regular season. He is available at a good price.

Load of crap. I am a Charger fan. I saw the game and there were several reasons why the Chargers lost the game.
1. The immaturity reeked on that team as it still does today.
2. Cameron going away from the run in the second half when it was still working.
3. The Chargers getting a stupid penalty on the field after stupid penalty. Acting like fools, acting as if they had already won when they hadn’t.
4. Intercepting a ball and not having the intelligence to immediately drop to the ground so it doesn’t get stripped.
5. Marty’s decision making on the sideline. Marty looking so over the top hyper on the sideline.
6. The Chargers inability to contain their emotions and play under control.

Marty’s son isn’t doing a very good job with the Jets at the moment. Sure, the Jets have a rookie QB, but Schottenheimer isn’t exactly putting Sanchez in a position to be successful.
As for Marty being a GM? That is laughable.
Is he still collecting a paycheck for sitting on his ass from the Chargers?
Great gig. Lead the Chargers to the playoffs, have zero playoff wins with the Chargers, get fired, and collect a huge paycheck until the contract runs out.
