Jags say "see ya" to Seward

The Jacksonville Jaguars, who somehow have compiled a 6-4 record, are tinkering with their roster.

Gone is linebacker Adam Seward.  He joined the team in August 2009, and he appeared in three games, registering three special-teams tackles.

The move leaves the Jaguars with an open roster spot.

The Jags are where they are because of MSW and MJD. Two of the most under rated players in the league.

Oh please, MJD is not overrated. People have been singing his praises for years.

Florio "The Jacksonville Jaguars, who SOMEHOW have compiled a 6-4 record, are tinkering with their roster"

"SOMEHOW" How much hate do you have in your heart for this team? Did Del Rio tickle your little baby nuts back in the day or something? They aren't the sexy bandwagon team that all you media heads like, but they are actually a pretty damn good team. Their 6-4,and like Bill Parcell said "you are what you are". Let it go Flo!

McFly? It's no mystery. Look at the f**king schedule, Florio. The 6 wins have come against teams that are a combined...wait for it...20-40.

    They're this years Miami Dolphins.

I figured the Miami Dolphins would be this years Miami Dolphins.

Being 6-4, but being shut out by Seattle a few weeks ago is a big ambivalence. Yes, they somehow managed this record.

    @Jag4Life
record of teams when they played the Jags(in games that the Jags won) -
    Texans 1-1
    Titans 0-3
    Rams 0-5
    Chiefs 1-6
    Jets 4-4
    Bills 3-6

    notice any pattern ?

"Gob, get the Seward out of here"
    "Hey! I'm right here"

yeah, they've beaten crappy teams, but they have a tough schedule to close, so if they beat some good teams to close the year, what are you going to say then florio? wait lemme guess: "The Jacksonville Jaguars, who LUCKILY finished the season with a blah blah blah...."

  12. Jag4Life says: November 24, 2009 7:27 PM

    @ Gautam
I don't give sh*t if the combined records are 0-25. Wins are earned not given in the NFL. You beat the team you are suppose to beat. I know my teams schedule and I don't need a class by you who know nothing of this team. Yes I know we have an easy schedule. Every team has an easy schedule from season to season. The fact that they are 6-4, should be 7-3 is not a surprise when you are suppose to beat lesser opponents, EINSTEIN. i know I'm right, you know I'm right and if you say different, you truly know nothing of the sport.

Florio, why dont you like the Jags? Its sad that a grown man can be so negative against a SPORTS franchise.

Anyways, I am a Jags fan and I will take wins over `crappy` teams then a losing record.

Not only do I agree with all the Jaguar fans about the team's schedule (they don't make it and they play who that have to play), but there's another side of this.

I'm fining it a lot more fun to watch my team having a gradual level of success with a young bunch of guys. In recent years, we had to sit back and hope Leftwich would get good, or that Matt Jones would live up to his "freakish speed" hype. For years, it was the same thing...we sit and we wait. We occasionally get teased by a run at the post-season, and that wild win in Pittsburgh in the '07 wildcard round gave a lot of us hope. Then we went to New England...

This team has 13 rookies on the 53-man roster. They have a WR bit by injuries the past two seasons, who this year is one of the best in the conference. They have an exciting rookie receiver who's working his way into the game plan more and more each week. The rookie offensive tackles are getting better each week.

Our big issues are on defense, but there are a couple of young guys who are making an impact: Derek Cox and Terrence Knighton are two examples.

The team is finding these guys in places like Temple, William and Mary and Liberty.

The arrow is pointing up. Making the post-season this year would be a nice surprise, but the future looks really bright. I believe this front office finally got it right.

They show me something new each week. The games have been close and there have been mistakes to overcome. But give me a team that's down late, with an offense that put it on their backs and finds a way to win, the way they have the past two games. I'll take that over one Colts or Saints blowout any day. Not good for my heart, but I love it.
