With Week 12 getting started on Thursday via three Thanksgiving games, we’ve loaded up the PFT Picks a day early.
Last week, yours truly was 7-1. For the second straight week the Chicago Bears kept yours truly from having a perfect showing.
Rosenthal had a good week, too. I don’t have the specific numbers, but he was above .500.
For a change.
Couple I dont agree with,, Why pick the Texans to beat the Colts,, Maybe for there own peace of mind I guess. Patriots over the Saints,, Here’s another Dumb pick. What do the Colt’s and the Saint’s have to do to prove they are the Elite in the NFL.
P.S. The Colts and the Saints “ARE WHO WE THOUGHT THEY WERE.”!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving All.!!
The Colts will win and so will the Saints… everything else I can agree with.
Texans over the Colts?
Always take the streak. Indy gonna be 11-0 fools.
Too many points scored by the Lions, especially without Calvin Johnson.
I agree with the Texans over the Colts. Although the Colts are undefeated, they’re bound to have a letdown, especially against a division rival. Look for the Texans to avenge that “kick in the gut” loss to the Titans and beat the Colts.
The Saints are world beaters at home. There’s no way I see the Patriots being able to keep up with the Saints offense. The Patriots defense isn’t good enough. Too many weapons on the Saints offense to cover all of them. It will probably start out fast for both teams, but eventually the Patriots will have to punt, giving the ball back to the Saints to score more, and more, and more. This will be the game that shows the NFL that the Saints are for real, as if you didn’t know it already. Pay attention Minnesota fans. This is the team that will keep you from accomplishing all of your hopes and dreams.
I think the Saints will beat the Patriots. The Patriots have only one road win this season, and that was in London against the Bucs.
@ Emoney. Are you a Saints homer or just a Vikings hater? Saints can beat the Pats at home, but the Pats could beat them also. The Saints are lucky this is at home,Don’t think they would stand a chance at the Patriots.
I love you Saints ass kissers, think they are so unbeatable. Vikings have the most well rounded team in the NFL(Not just my opinion, many top analysts say so) and enough size to smash the Saints right in the mouth. We shall see.
For the second straight week the Chicago Bears kept yours truly from having a perfect showing.

What you get for bagging on Cutler. Look up at his play calling where they shove 3 receivers in between the hash marks in the red zone when they are on the 5. Still make bad throws, but finally tried a fade route in the end zone with Olsen last week and it worked.
Still running the offense designed for Orton and Grossman.
Shame the Bears are going to ruin your streak again when they beat the ViQueens on their own field.
Favre leaves game with concussion in 2nd quarter.
I’m a Colts fan, but I’m not overly confident that they’ll beat the Texans. The last game against the Texans, 3 weeks ago, was too close and at home. There are a ton of injuries and the past several games have been sloppy.
The Colts have (obviously) been finding ways to win though.
Should be a good game!
Aint’s have a history of choking and it will continue this year. They are weak in many areas and will lose at least one remaining game and in the playoffs to the Vikes.

LMAO That insane comment is easy to understand….you also said Cutler could be the next Favre or Elway!! AD gets 3td’s and 190 yards vs. Bears. He is pissed, have you not heard? Can’t wait to watch him truck yo’ pathetic lil D. Favre and Rice going “Peanut” farming also. 38-10 Vikings
Thanks, Gregg … The Steelers always play better when underestimated. You may have given us the boost we’ve been needing!
@Perv … Gotta go, but since first option on list is gone, want to nonchalantly regroup at #10? Tell GBIS. Hate to close the club. Later.

Emoney = Packer fan. That is hoeful scenario now that the Pack has proved to be worthless competition. They have to resort to hoping and praying the Vikes don’t win it all.
As for Smack….he’s just another turd in the outhouse of life.
Still predicting an injury for Favre…..where is that trainwreck at?
That oline for Chi better show up or it’s gonna get ugly.
“Last week, yours truly was 7-1. ”
Given your appalling lack of football knowledge (that Skins pick still gets grins) that is an amazing record.
@Perv … Cancel that last suggestion. #10 changed at the same time I made it. Not clubbing at an active Vikes thread LOL How about Rodgers Street?
@ Chickenfoot- Figures as much. Eventually I will know which turd belongs with who lol Thanks.
@ Deb-righty ,right!

Yeah the Packers are worthless competition. I can’t argue with that. But we’re not talking about the Packers. We’re comparing the best two teams in the NFC. I’m simply stating that your Viking team isn’t the best…yet. The Vikings aren’t a dominate team. They struggle to dominate most of their easy games, whereas the Saints, with a much more difficult schedule, crushes their opponents(with the exception of the Rams).
If the Vikings go far, it won’t bother me. I’m just stating the facts that Minnesota ISN’T the best team right now. I don’t hope that they’ll fail. I personally don’t care. They just haven’t proven anything yet with their current team, other than beating the Browns, Lions, Rams, Seahawks, Packers, Ravens and 49ers. The Packers are the only above .500 team. Explain the dominance here…
For all the Vikings fans and Saints bashers out there, you do know that your team lost a game this season, right?
I don’t know if the Saints will beat the Patriots. If the Saints bring their “A Game” I don’t see the Patriots having much of a chance. I do think the Saints are that good. That would mean, no turnovers, very few dropped passes and solid defense, especially from the secondary. If both teams play lights out football, I see the Saints winning easily. If the Saints do not bring their “A Game” then this can be a much closer game or a Patriots victory. I think the Saints may be out of their mid-season slump and are ready for the challenge. If the Saints are hitting on all cylinders I think only the Colts can stay with them.
Even with all that, the Saints and Vikings are clearly the class of the NFC. Nobody else is even close……..
Emoney:
AVG score Vikes 31 Opp 19
They are winning by an average of nearly 2 TDS!
Saints beat the Mcnabb less Eagles…ooooooh!
They beat the Phins w/o Pennington…ooooh
They beat Atlanta by 8 points.
Real Scary!
At least the Vikes aren’t losing to Tampa, like some teams I know.
9-1 , no that isn’t dominant.
Had they lost to say, the 49ers, you’d be talking out the other side of your ass about how bad they suck because they lost to a sub.500 team.
You cannot win with asshats like you because you always have something. “they didn’t play anyone”. Give me an F’n break!
P.S. I don’t want them to be the best team right now, I want them to be the best in Jan./ Feb.
Losing to Pitt was the best thing that could have happened, especially knowing that they gave it away.
Pressure of undefeated is off.
Your point of “dominance” is misguided at best and foolish at worst.

Uh, the Patriots are 3rd in total points, to
say they can’t hang with the Saints but the Colts
can is a little crazy.
As bad as the jets are, there def was ranked
2nd or 3rd and they put up 28 on them
even with Moss being shut down.
Still HATE the format those picks are in.

You are probably right. The Patriots are very good when they are playing their game and can hang with the Saints. I guess, I just overlooked that fact when I looked at their record and saw the 3 losses.
Saints and Vikes have been the best in the NFC … so far…but don’t count the Eagles out…they always get hot this time of year and at 6-4 are ahead of schedule. Giants, if they get healthy, could also challenge. so could the Cardinals.
remember, the regular season doesn’t always mean that much, see last years titans, panthers, and that vikings team with randy moss that went 15-1 and then lost the NFCG.
Going a little further than Chickenfoots good observations:
Saints have made a living off of getting picks this year as well as scoring many points.
Saints have 36.9 ppg Vikings 30.6
Saints have played a # 2Giants,#5Jets, # 8 Eagles NFL top ranked defenses this year.
Vikings have played #1 Steelers,# 3 Packers(twice) and #9 Ravens.
So,we both played a few good D’s, most of our teams wins came from scrub D’s.(Lions,Buccs,Rams,Bills,Browns,Falcons etc..)
So,points should be scored in good numbers. Don’t brag too much Saints
Now about the picks: Saints got 20 picks.
Who they came from:
Rookie Stafford,Lions -3
Never plays Kolb ,Eagles-3
Rookie Sanchez,Jets-3
11 game Henne,Fins-2
Rookie Freeman,Buccs-3
2nd year Ryan,falcons -3
Edwards,E. Manning,Delhomme and Bulger: 3 total.
My conclusion: You guys don’t fool veteran qb’s with that D you got. Brett Favre # 1QB rating, 21-3 tds to picks. Don’t fear that pick machine you got.He is too smart.
Oh,and when the Saints face decent rb’s:
Jackson,Rams -26 for 131 yds. 5.0 avg.
Williams,Panthers- 21 for 149 and7.1 avg.
Turner, Falcons – 20 for 151 and 7.6 avg.
Ah…we got AD you know. You won’t stop him. Saints get 154.3 ypg rushing but not against the vikings who allow 85.5 ypg and have allowed 1 red zone td Reggie Bush!
I think people who think the Saints outclass the Vikings really don’t know football. Be a great game. I’ll take the Vikes.

agreed, it is a little clumsy
@smackmyvick(or QB cuntler)up
the bears are done for, go grab your pacifier and blanky, might as well get an early nap on sunday. Cuntler is a bigger diva than TO in his prime, just waiting for the driveway situps and a “thats muh wideout” quote, and for the dude to start rolling around kicking his feet and crying on the playing field, he’s a punk.
the bears are lucky the lions keep them out of the cellar, and that they could steal one against the pack. sure hope to see you run your mouth on monday punk.
@ the saints homers (i.e. packer homers in exile)
say whatever you want about the vikes, once they got rolling they’ve been tough to beat. before you go running at the mouth about the 1st lions game, the ravens, the browns, and the niners, keep in mind that early in the season, favre was doing nothing but 10 yrd dink and dunking, and we STILL pulled out the win. this is with a banged up WR (berrian) a rookie WR, and Rice who is a 3rd year guy i believe. not exactly an experianced WR core. look at the recent games and you see the vikes dominating teams, before letting things tighten up a bit once chilly ball takes over. we pounded the pack, the hawks, and the lions. this late in the year and the aints are getting big time comebacks, but against teams like the rams 1-9 rams, and the crappy panthers. I would take the vikes over the saints 70% of the time as the teams are playing right now. Hopefully we get to see in january.

I tend to disagree. If we’re talking about defenses, it should be the other way around. The Saints defense is one that causes and takes advantage of turnovers. They’re the ones who are going to have trouble containing Brady and his offensive weapons;
Saints
Total defense ranking (YPG): 17th
Passing defense (YPG): 16th
Rushing defense (YPG): 19th
Patriots
Total defense ranking (YPG): 6th
Passing defense (YPG): 6th
Rushing defense (YPG): 14th
The Patriots are allowing only 16 pts per game, while the Saints are 20. The Jets defense is ranked better than both, at #5, and the Patriots offense still scored 31 points on them.
As far as “A” games go, if they both bring it, then it could go either way, and I’d agree with it will be won by 3 points or less.
