Romo ready for Turkey Day

While much of the country acquires a sore back Thursday from sitting in the same place for too long, Tony Romo is making sure to keep his sore back moving.

Romo confirmed Wednesday that he's definitely starting against the Raiders.  He's officially listed as probable after completing a full practice.  Like PFT writers, Romo likes to use the royal "we" to talk about himself.

"I feel strongly that we're going to go out there and do what we normally do, so, yeah, I'm excited," Romo said Wednesday.

Tackle Marc Colombo and safety Ken Hamlin were ruled out, as expected.   Tight end Jason Witten is questionable because of his ankle injury and is a gametime decision.  But he hasn't missed a game since his rookie season, so it'd be a surprise if he didn't suit up.

Seven Cowboys are probable, including Romo, safety Gerald Sensabaugh, and running back Marion Barber.

Our PFT picks envision some Bruce Gradkowski magic keeping the Raiders game interesting long enough to make Jerry Jones uncomfortable and keep the rest of us awake.

If the Cowboys play like they played the last 2 weeks, that will make Jerry Jones uncomfortable, and a bunch of us yelling " GO RAIDERS " !!! Just to see the high and mighty 'Boys get their ass kicked!!!

Okay, Witten is most likely out due to a sprained foot, not an ankle and Romo was refering to the Cowboys Team with the 'we', not himself. lrn2read and understand English.

How can you overrate a guy that wasn't even drafted?

Why don't you back to the things that worked for you. Miles Austin ring a bell?

    Hello?

Unlike the Eagles, the Cowboys are not going to lose to the Raiders.

    8-3 and just win, baby!

That'll make 6 wins outta the last 7 games.

Good set up to the rematch with the Giants on the road.

Bruce Gradkowski needs to avoid the Jessica Simpson trap. Rumor is she'll be on the lookout for him in hopes of sabotaging his play against the 'Boys.

Will it really matter? I think not! Romo is overrated AND overpaid. Cutler & Shanahan in the Cowboy's future?

i.e. get shut out until the final minutes of the game

    @Mano...

Just Win Baby? First the term "Nation" was lifted from the Raiders and now this?

I think the Raiders have a chance to do just that by the way. I know I would not be crowing about 14 points in two games if I were a Cowgirl.

Game on Turkeys. And Miles Austin is not the key, you need to run on the Raiders to win.

Ellis knocks Romo out of the game.

"I think the Raiders have a chance to do just that by the way."

    Right up until kickoff.

"I know I would not be crowing about 14 points in two games if I were a Cowgirl."

I know I wouldn't be crowing about a damn thing if I were a freakin Faiders fan.

Unless they're playing the Eagirls anyway.

Gregg (the 2nd "g" is silent) says:

Our PFT picks envision some Bruce Gradkowski
magic keeping the Raiders game interesting long enough to make Jerry Jones uncomfortable and keep the rest of us awake.

Most of the Gradkowski magic can be attributed to the offensive line. They kept him clean during the Bengal game. And the defense kept the score close.

Well Romo is close to setting the Cowboys record for pass attempts - so he's good, right?

Hey Vox...Raiders at Dallas. NEVER LOST! (3-0)

Truth is the Cowboys cannot afford to take anyone lightly. Just go out and play a full 4 quarters.

Anything less than a decisive win against a ball club like the Raiders will not be good going into these later months.

Romo is an undrafted QB with one of the best won loss records over his first 40+ starts..ALL TIME! This is his 3rd full year starting??? Even Payton took some time..Look at McNabb, wanna talk overrated? Top pick that continues to post 8-7-1 type records and lose NFC Championship games...BEEN DOING THAT FOR 10 YEARS..Romo has many years to improve on McNabb and many other TOP PICK failures...UNDRAFTED..EASTERN ILLINOIS...Romo's actually overacheived! Not much was expected out of college, if/when he does win it's all gravy..He still moves with better "field vision" than most QB's in the game..Makes many plays that only Favre could make...and Favre is an all timer who took some time to win a ring..Romo has plenty of time while others are running out..BTW don't use Jay Cutler ahem Jeff George in the same breath as Romo..Big difference in attitude and play.

  25. VoxVeritas says: November 26, 2009 8:09 AM

pubicreign #2 overall pick, contract over $100 million = overrated.

20-16. In Philly. The $100 million man couldn't even gain a foot for a first down, the guy you say is overrated faked 4 DBs including the most overrated cornerback in the NFL and 250,000 Philly lowbrows out of their baggy jocks for the winning score on national TV, everybody in the country saw it.

  26. VoxVeritas says: November 26, 2009 8:14 AM

"Well Romo is close to setting the Cowboys record for pass attempts"

No he's not. Romo's 1261 pass attempts behind Aikman. This is simple math, I suggest you buy a calculator and you might want to consider a remedial third grade math class as well.

  27. VoxVeritas says: November 26, 2009 8:22 AM

"Hey Vox...Raiders at Dallas. NEVER LOST! (3-0)"

Hey pubicreign... Eagirls in the Super Bowl. NEVER WON! (0-2).

Vox, I was taking the mick out of you and, as expected, you fell for it. Seriously dude, you've got major issues.
