Pierce remains out indefinitely

Giants linebacker Antonio Pierce, who remains on the shelf with a bulging disk in his neck, continues to be out indefinitely.

Per Mike Garafolo of the Newark Star-Ledger, Pierce traveled to California for a second opinion from Dr. Robert Watkins, who concurred with the diagnosis that Pierce should not play until the disk shrinks.

So Pierce is inactive for Thursday night’s game against the Broncos, along with receiver Ramses Barden, defensive back D.J. Johnson, cornerback Kevin Dockery, running back Ahmad Bradshaw, offensive lineman Adam Koets, tackle Guy Whimper, and receiver Sinorice Moss.

For the Broncos, the inactive players are quarterback Tom Brandstater (third quarterback), receiver Kenny McKinley, running back LaMont Jordan, guard Seth Olsen, tackle Ryan Harris, defensive lineman Chris Baker, receiver Brandon Lloyd, and linebacker Jarvis Moss.

The game kicks off at 8:20 p.m. ET on NFL Network, which streams on all Sprint handsets that feature NFL Mobile Live.
