There's nothing like having a guy on the roster who rushed for more than 3,500 yards in two seasons to keep a starting tailback from milking an injury.
Or, for that matter, a rookie who churned out 119 yards when given an opportunity to take the lead last weekend.
Bengals running back Cedric Benson will test out his injured hip in practice on Friday, in order to help the team decide whether Benson will be able to go on Sunday when the Browns come to town.
If Benson can't play, the Bengals should be fine. They've got Bernard Scott (he's the aforementioned rookie), and they've got Larry Johnson.

Wow, no smart ass comments? Just posted news. I'm proud of you Flo.
Benson, c'mon man! Your ff owners NEED you to destroy the clowns!
Is he going to dance to some Shakira music?
@ filthymcnasty
any FF owner with a bit of common sense or FF skill would have picked up Scott in wk 5 when they saw the workload Benson was (and would be) getting for the season
The only thing worse than a Fantasy Football player is a Fantasy Football player who actually works hard at it and takes pride in the fact that back in Week 5 he was able foresee that, due to Benson's heavy workload, picking up his backup Scott would be a smart move, and then he goes on the internet to tell people about such "FF skill" that he possesses and he actually feels really proud of himself and thinks he's going to impress people.
Hey Florio, Bengals page posted he practiced and Marvin says he's good to go.
Benson wouldn't "Milk" his injury. The guy is highly motivated and a pro.
@cbrianwatson
way ahead of you, though week 5 is a bit early for short benches. I'd rather have Benson taking the handoff on the CLE 3 than Scott.
@the contagious V.I.C
I agree with the second part. The only worse that those types are condescending, miserable s.o.b.'s that try their best to make everyone just as empty as they are.
