Raiders-Cowboys one-liners

Raiders WR Darrius Heyward-Bey’s first career touchdown was the offensive highlight of the 24-7 loss to the Cowboys.

The Raiders moved Trevor Scott to linebacker this week, and it paid off to the tune of two sacks.

Big plays killed the Raiders defense on Thursday as the Cowboys gained 384 of yards on 10 snaps.

The Raiders offense couldn’t come up with any big plays of its own to balance things out.

Said Raiders CB Nnamdi Asomugha, “We’re all pretty embarrassed with how the game ended up. Trying to win two games in a row for us has been like trying to climb Mount Everest or something.”

Jean-Jacques Taylor of the Dallas Morning News thinks that the Cowboys victory proved WR Miles Austin is their best weapon.

Cowboys TE Jason Witten’s foot injury didn’t keep him from grabbing five passes for 107 yards.

The Cowboys allowed 68 yards rushing in the first quarter, but tightened up to allow only 56 yards the rest of the way.

Cowboys LB Anthony Spencer recorded his first two sacks of the season and threw in three quarterback hurries.

The Cowboys biggest offensive concern might be a 4 of 12 third-down conversion rate, which means they’ve converted only 28.6 percent of them over the last three weeks.
