Browns don't get Ochocinco excited

Once upon a time, Chad Ochocinco (then named Johnson) sent a bottle of Pepto Bismol to the Browns secondary before facing them.

With the Browns at 1-9, Ochocinco doesn't seem as fired up for the
matchup.  Asked this week if he gets as excited to play the Browns as he does the Ravens, he said, "No, sorry to say. Uh-uh. Not at all."

Ochocinco was asked if any of the Cleveland defensive backs stand out to him.

"It's never one individual. I just lump them all in one big group and beat them all like a balloon," he joked.

The Browns held Cincinnati's top receiver to three catches for 24 yards the last time they played, but two of those catches were touchdowns.  The Bengals survived that game in overtime, 23-20.

Ochocinco's comments aside, the Bengals will be plenty fired up this week after their letdown against the Raiders.  At least we think they will.

Bengals squeak it out in overtime against the completely inept Browns and Chad is popping off about it?

This is exactly why nobody ever takes the Bengals seriously.

If I recall, they just got beaten by the Raiders last weekend. Maybe Ocho should keep his mouth shut until the Bengals prove they're a quality team. I'm just sayin'.

    Bengals 23 - Pittsburgh 20
    Bengals 17 - @ Baltimore 14
    Bengals 17 - Baltimore 7
    Bengals 18 - @ Pittsburgh 12

Win against Browns would make it a perfect sweep in the division. I'm just sayin'.

@smackmyvickup its a damn shame your a bandwagon fan for the bengals, actually makes people not like the team. btw, you're a piece of crap regardless of who you frontrun for.

Red: There's no reason to bring up their loss to the Broncos as evidence against them: Kyle Orton got the most undeserved game-winning touchdown place in NFL history, an under thrown lame duck into double coverage.

Last time I checked the losses go in the L column, no matter how they occur.

Since they're playing the Browns, I hear that, if he scores, as a TD celebration he's going to drop his pants and take a dump right there in the end zone.

Im anxious to see Brady Quinn in this game. He lit the Lions up impressively...but it was the Lions...the Bengals defense is actually very solid, especially their secondary...one of the best CB tandems in the league, Quinn gets to show if what he did to Detroit was a fluke or if he has legitimately taken steps forward....I was stunned when he threw the deep ball so accurately against the Lions, at least now opposing defenses know he CAN throw that ball so they cant just jump every 5 yard route or they'll run the risk of getting scorched deep. Bengals should definitely win this game, the Browns defense is horrible...but as I said, I really wanna see if Quinn can have a solid game against a legitimate opponent.

Luckily the Bengals get the Browns, Lions, Chiefs all AT HOME before the end of the season or else the curse of Larry Johnson might rear it's ugly head. They will get B-slapped at Minnesota and San Diego though. That's at least 5 losses right there.

Sounds like talk of a man who has already moved on from this game. Where is the focus? Hope the Bengals don't end up getting upset again(how many times can you say that about the Bengals)

i remember when Chad Johnson sent the Browns the pepto... i also remember laughing my ass off when we shut him down that game.

maybe he learned his lesson and figures if he just shuts up he has a better chance on a big game.

    @Red

I am officially dumber after reading everything on this blog. First, the Bengals are 7-3 and 5-0 in the AFC North...and to call them 'not a quality team' after losing to Oakland...well you don't know football. I mean, Pitt lost to KC and the Pats lost to Denver, does that make them 'not quality teams' Red? I'm just sayin' And here's some more information, Bengals have never beaten Oakland in Oakland, and yes, even good teams lose, ask Philly. As for the close call in Cleveland...rivalry game mean anything to you Red, or are you just out to bash other's glory? You're prolly a Lions fan and can't stand someone else's success. What a pity...

  18. MikeW says: November 29, 2009 10:28 AM

yeah, Leigh Bodden used to have Chad's number. Housh was the one that would beat us, Johnson really didn't do anything to Bodden was dealt for Rodgers.

I think Eric Wright could cause his problems but for some reason, we don't use Wright on their best weapon no matter where they line up. teams just match up their #1 WR on McDonalds side and tear that piece of crap up

    ..............................................

I'm a little tired of Bengal's fans making excuses on that play...according to the NFL record book the Broncos won when Kyle Orton's threw a perfect 87 yard bomb to Stokley...

with Orton's rocket arm the Broncos can score at any time from any place on the field..

the play was executed as designed...a perfect strike to Marshall who tipped the ball intentionally to a wide open Brandon Stokley who used his blazing speed to score (18.1 YPC )...& they won the M#^&##F@$#*#% !!!game..
