Michael Turner expected to play

Atlanta Falcons running back Michael Turner was limited in practice this week and listed as questionable on the injury report, but he’s expected to play against the Buccaneers on Sunday.

Steve Wyche of NFL.com reports that a source with knowledge of the situation says Turner is expected to go, just two weeks after suffering a high ankle sprain.

A final decision won’t be made until after Turner tests his ankle in pregame warmups, but indications are that his ankle has healed sufficiently for him to play. Jason Snelling would start for the Falcons at running back if Turner can’t.

Turner, who started the Falcons’ first nine games before suffering the ankle injury, has 165 carries for 831 yards and 10 touchdowns this season.

Its the Bucs. Why would they even risk him? Its not like Snelling went out there and just bombed last week. WTF. Coaching staff is retarded.

well, the one thing about Turner being injured it at least stopped all of the ” Matt Ryan is Peyton Manning” talk for a bit.

Agreed…rest turner another week & keep him fresh for a wild card push…very stupid to risk playing him especially with snelling & now norwood being available…..STUPID!!!!!

You guys are making good points, but tough players have a mindset to play through pain. They don’t mind making risks. In fact, I respect that about guys like Turner.

I’m so glad my Bolts let Turner walk in free agency. Has any franchise made 2 bigger BONERS than letting Drew Brees and Michael Turner walk in free agency and getting NOTHING for them? Blows my mind every time it crosses my mind.
