Eagles coach Andy Reid didn’t mention tight end Brent Celek’s thumb injury in the press conference after Philadelphia’s win, but Celek was playing through pain.
The Associated Press reports that Celek told teammate Jeremy Maclin that he tore “a few ligaments in my hand.”
The Eagles originally said x-rays were negative on Celek’s sprained thumb. The Eagles starter caught four passes for 33 yards against Washington, but had at least three drops.
Celek finished Sunday’s game, so his injury doesn’t seem nearly as serious as DeSean Jackson’s concussion.

Read over that sentence again and correct it, please.
So can Andy Reid and his Eagles get in trouble for not mentioning the injury? Remember Brett/Jets?
Maybe you shouldn’t play anymore if you are going to drop every pass after the injury
skolvikes: this was an injury during the game. Reid has no obligation (to my knowledge) to disclose the nature of an in game injury during a press conference. He would have to disclose it on the wednesday injury report. A lot different than Jets/Favre
