Chris Johnson hits a home run, but so do the Cardinals

Despite the Cardinals’ decision to hold Kurt Warner out of Sunday’s game at Nashville, the Titans had been unable to deliver the knockout blow to the rest of the team.

Enter Chris Johnson.

The second-year standout, arguably the best running back in the NFL, sprinted 85 yards for a touchdown late in the third quarter of Sunday’s game.  The touchdown pushed Tennessee’s lead to 13-3.

For the game, Johnson has 150 yards on 15 carries.  For the season, he has 1,372 yards, and counting.

On the ensuing kickoff, however, rookie LaRod Stephens-Howling went the distance.

It’s now 13-10.

Hey Florio. Do a story about just how god-aweful Joe Buck is as an announcer. I’m pretty sure he’s never watched a game of the NFL other than the ones he has announced.

Dammit ! Three holding penalties were not called on that kickoff – # 21 , 42 , and 64 all were held none more blatant than the one of 42 – The Cardinal hand one hand inside the pads the other holding the jersey from the back …how is that not called ?

Chris Johnson is a beast, it will be a close 5 way MVP race between:
    Peyton Manning
    Brett Favre
    Chris Johnson
    Drew Brees
    Tom Brady
We are living in good times, look at all that talent

    Great job by Vy.
Now watch, Florio will write the article about the result. He hasn’t in a while, because the cards have not lost in a while. He has hid behind his cronies Smith and Rosenthal and had them write them after recent cards wins. Here comes the “SF won and cards lost and division is slipping away spin”, as well as anything else he can pile on.

    arguably the best?
the only person who would be in the running at this point is maybe adrian peterson, who added 2 more fumbles to his resume today. way to go all day

I’m no fan of Young but what that dude did today was amazing, capped off with a 99 yard drive to win the game.
This was a hell of a game all the way through, they were smackin each other around like they were bitter rivals.
The Titans have to feel like they’re invincible now.

You forgot to add his receiving numbers in that total. It honestly wouldn’t surprise me to see Johnson have over 2,500 total yards when the smoke clears – he’s incredible.
Now that Vince Young is back on the right track, the sky is the limit…

Buck was on the Vikes-Bears game. But for some reason I felt the need to post that comment on this story, Ha.
