Colts move to 11-0, Kubiak moves closer to termination

Three weeks ago, the Texans spotted the Colts 13 points before taking the lead, losing it, and then failing to force overtime.

Today, the Colts spotted the Texans 14 before storming back, taking the lead, and never looking back.

For Indy, Peyton Manning completed 27 of 35 passes for 244 yards, three touchdowns, and two interceptions.  Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark, and Pierre Garcon each caught one of the scores.

Houston’s third straight loss plunges the team’s record to 5-6.  The Texans likely will need to double their win total with no further losses in order to get to the postseason.

And they likely will need to get to the postseason in order to save coach Gary Kubiak’s job.

The Colts are now 11-0, and only the Titans, Broncos, Jaguars, Jets, and Bills stand in the way of a perfect season.

Kubiak will not be fired this year unless they are under .500, and I easily see the Colts winning out and completing the third undefeated season.

The Colts actually spotted them 17 points. It was 17-0 until late in the 1st half, and 20-7 at the half. Then the Colts scored 28 straight points.

I know it’s something a lot of other people like to talk about, but I don’t really care about a perfect season anymore. As the Patriots’ choke job at the end of the 2007 season should have showed everyone, 16-0 doesn’t mean a thing if you don’t go on and win the Super Bowl.

2 things on this – Gary Kubiak has the Texans on the verge of breaking through. They are more likely to go backwards with a change. The team plays with heart and they are a tough team for anybody to beat. Second, the Titans have the best chance to knock of the Colts. I think they handle every other team.

colts will lose one or two of the next five with all the injuries plus they will have home field advantage wrapped up ..but the colts are rolling towards the playoffs lets go blue

Good, get rid of Kubiak. We dont want him here in Houston. Maybe he can catch on with Mike Shanahan next year where ever Shanahan catches on at.

Big shock another phantom pass interference call favoring the colts.
Bill Polian must have his hands in another game.
Its easy when you can call down to the refs and tell them to throw a flag.

The Texans would be making a mistake by getting rid of Kubiak. He has them heading in the right direction and changing plans would be a setback.

    @ The Real Shuxion…
Keep crying. It was the officials that scored all those points for the Colts. It was the officials who made the Texans throw 2 INTs (including a pick-6) and made Mathis get a strip-sack of Schaub.
Stop your whining. The Colts, like good teams do, made halftime adjustments that worked.

It’s funny but the Texans had the momentum until the refs gave that phantom pass interference gift to the colts, seems to happen every game.

I gotta agree on that pass interference call (for 43 yards)…that was horse-apple. I can’t count how many times bs PI calls go against ANY team facing Indy.
As a NE fan, it sickens me…but I see this team going 16-0 fairly easily…but not much more. If SD keeps rolling the way they are into the playoffs, THAT could be the team Indy wants to see the least…even at home.
I will give credit where it is due…this team beats you every which way…they don’t beat themselves and pressure the other team to throw up on their own shoes.

“The Colts are now 11-0, and only the Titans, Broncos, Jaguars, Jets, and Bills stand in the way of a perfect season.”
To which the 2007 New York Giants added: “Yeah, those teams and then your SUPER BOWL opponent”.

Manning is off the hook good. I mean, this guy is as good as it gets and maybe even as good as any QB has EVER been.
He’s gotta be the MVP, in my opinion.

12th man comes into play. Polian and the zebras are sharing a brain.

i love hearing the whiners about the officials. OK, if the game had been real close and decided by the call (PI), then it’s OK to maybe blame the officials.
One call should not cost a team a 17-0 lead even if momentum changes. Schaub actually cost them the game…by throwing the 2 picks, and not “feeling” the rush that led to the fumble. Ultimately, if you choke away that kind of lead, it’s your own fault.
Colts will not go undefeated. They will lose at least 1, maybe 2….and unfortunately (i’m a fan), they’ll probably lose in their first or second game of the playoffs.
