The Carolina Panthers listed both wide receiver Steve Smith and running back Jonathan Stewart as questionable on their final injury report, but all indications are that both will play today against the New York Jets.
Smith was a late addition to the injury report with sore ribs, but Adam Schefter of ESPN tweets that the Panthers are hopeful and optimistic that he can play. Smith will go through pre-game warm-ups before a final decision is made, but expectations are that he can go.
Schefter also tweets that a Panthers official says Stewart, who has an Achilles injury, is expected to go in today’s game.
Smith leads the team in catches (45), receiving yards (599) and receiving touchdowns (four). Stewart is second on the team behind DeAngelo Williams in carries (110), rushing yards (509) and rushing touchdowns (six).
