St. Louis not seeing Seahawks-Rams

After a couple of close calls, the St. Louis Rams finally have failed to sell out a home game.

Though there was no official announcement from the organization, Jim Thomas of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch described a local blackout as a virtual certainty on Tuesday, with 8,000 tickets remaining for today’s game against the Seahawks.

The sellout occurred to us only because the Seahawks-Rams game is missing from the DirecTV Game Mix, which is the usual practice for blacked-out games.

The Seahawks lead 14-7, thanks to a 65-yard interception return for a touchdown moments ago by Josh Wilson.

No other games have been blacked out this weekend, due directly to the fact that the Jaguars and Raiders didn’t play at home — and because the Lions typically draw well on Thanksgiving.

The Chargers needed two extensions to sell out their game against the Chiefs.
