Cowboys."
Seriously?Prove this. Who is over-rating them? Show one major media who is talking about the cowboys being one of the best. They lead their division, yet most everyone is picking someone else to win it and speak about their December slide. how can they be over-rated? Explain?

Florio: Yeah, Brady would have gotten No. 4 two years ago if he had Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison instead of those stiffs Brady was throwing passes to.
Richm2256: Most moronic statement you've made in a month, Mike. Go back from 2001-2006 and see the receivers Brady had while Manning had Wayne and Harrison. With receivers like those, Brady would have done much more damage than the three SB's he won anyway.
-----------------------------------------
Bizarre comment from Mr. PFT. I expect better. I was hoping to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he was referring to 2006.
It's too bad the success of this site has gone to his head. I've been following PFT from the beginning long before he became the tool-bag he is today. What a shame.

10:12pm ET - You say the Cowboys are overrated, all I ever hear is people writing them off, despite being 8-3 with a two-game lead.
Wait until the Saints get a crack at them. New Orleans scored 48 against the Eagles and 48 against the Giants.
_________________________________
People really should read my comments if they did they might learn a thing or two.
First off the Cowboys dont have a 2 game lead technically they have a 1 game lead.
But in reality they are essentially tied with the Eagles. Like I said before if the Eagles and Cowboys go undefeated through the next 4 weeks or match each others win/loss records then their week 17 game would be for the division title (of course thats assuming the Giants arent a top of the division).
If the Eagles win that game then that would tie the Eagles with the Cowboys in their season series against each other and in the standings. So then the tie breaker would go down to who had the best division record and because they both would be going into week 17 4-1 in the division if the Eagles win that would make them 5-1 in the division and the Cowboys 4-2 in the division which would give the Eagles the tiebreaker and the division title.
So you really cant say you have a lead in the NFL if another team can beat you if they win out. If the cowboys want to win the division their going to have to go through the Eagles to do it and vice versa.

9:05pm ET - Do you think the Patriots will beat the Saints tomorrow?
Yes. Absolutely.
9:24pm ET - Mike, Saints will go down in flames after tomorrow?
I think they'll lose convincingly, and that they'll then have to try to refocus once they realize that beating the Pats, Colts, or Charger in the Super Bowl will be a tall order.
9:29pm ET - Mike, Who are the top 5 teams in the NFL right now?
Colts, Saints, Vikings, Chargers, Patriots.
10:12pm ET - You say the Cowboys are overrated, all I ever hear is people writing them off, despite being 8-3 with a two-game lead.
Wait until the Saints get a crack at them. New Orleans scored 48 against the Eagles and 48 against the Giants.
Ok, so you rank the Saints above the Pats so far this season, yet say the Pats will win the game on Monday night... Then you comment that Dallas will still have trouble with them on the 19th... So... What is your REAL opinion of New Orleans at this time, are they a contender or a pretender?

Question: Who do YOU think will be the best when all is said and done . . . Brady or Manning?
Florio: Manning. He'd have 4 or 5 rings if he had spent the last decade with Belichick and that defense.
----------------------------------------
I've heard you say that on a couple of occassions and I cringe every time. Somehow the idea of crediting a player with achievements he never actually earned seems to completely demean the act of accomplishment.
All these players should have the opportunity to have their legacy's judged by what they accomplish. Not what they "COULD have accomplished IF this, that or the other thing". Those are excuses. Excuses are for losers. Peyton Manning is too great a player to have so many people demean him with these comments.
And Tom Brady deserves far better as well. It's interesting how similar their per game averages actually are. The main difference between the two is that 1) Manning has 65 more starts in his career and 2) Manning plays ALL his home games in a weather-controlled dome.
Do people realize that Brady's #'s indoors actually surpass Mannings on a per game basis? Brady also has the better numbers outdoors. The only thing that throws Mannings numbers higher is that he's had so many more dome games.
With all that being said, what is it about Manning's game that you like so much more than Brady's?

9:47pm ET - Have you seen the Michael Oher movie yet?
We went Wednesday night. Good, not great. Could have been 30 minutes shorter.
This must be a great movie if you think it's Good

MVP = Most Valuable Player. Without Favre, the Vikes are, what, 6 and 5? Maybe 7 and 4?
I cannot argue that Brees, Chris Johnson, or Peyton Manning should get great consideration, but absolutely Favre deserves to be in that conversation.
And as far as who they beat, doesn't dominating bad teams count? I think the Bengals would love to be able to do that...
