Delhomme has a broken digit

J.Delhomme.jpgIf Panthers coach John Fox needed a excuse to bench Jake Delhomme, he’s got one.  (Well, he’s got 18 interceptions to look at, but that didn’t seem convincing enough.)

Delhomme suffered a broken right finger late in Sunday’s 17-6 to the Jets; Carolina’s starter threw three of his four interceptions in the first half.  It was Delhomme’s third game this year that he’s thrown at least three picks.

Fox considered pulling Delhomme against the Jets, and now has a convenient way to get an extended look at backup Matt Moore.  Delhomme is considered “day-to-day” and Moore is expected to take the majority of reps at Wednesday’s practice.

Moore started three games at the end of the 2007 season, showing some promise.

Poor Jake. Seems his run is over. Hate to say it but it looks like his career will be reduced to journeyman backup QB.

How convenient is this?? Fox won’t bench him for reasons I don’t understand, and now Fox has an out.

I’m guessing Delhomme is either having a disctete affair with Fox or has some Major dirt on him or the GM/owner….this guy is HORRIBLE & after choking in the playoffs last year gets a contract extension & is allowed to play even after he consistantly destroys the teams hopes of winning on a weekly basis…I’m so happy they never went out & got someone like Garcia who knows how to win, just think how goor they could have been with him at the helm & that running game…..

Delhomme is one mean a-hole on the field, but he’s done a good job for them over the years. Nice knowin ya Jake!

Matt Moore isn’t as horrid as Jake but I wouldn’t call his stretch in 07 showing some promise. He pretty much sucks, too. If they want to win games they will go with Feeley, but it became clear quite early this season that winning isn’t all that important to the franchise.

    AJ Feeley!

The ONLY man-on-man affair in the NFL is the one between Robert Kraft and Roger Goodell…Kraft sucks Goodell off in return for destroying the Spygate tapes.
But then again, you gay ass Pats fans have no problem with that, considering that New England is the gay capital of the US, what with all the legalized gay marriages that emanate from there.
    GFY, KissBillsDick.

He was franchised and then decided to stay. He could have signed with someone and done somethin long term to make his cap number hurt a little less. People didn’t want him because he goes on stretches of dissappearing even when listed on the active gameday roster.

However, it does my heat good to know that EVERTHING & ANTHING Patriots related OWNS YOU & your tiny little world….

Matt Moore is the future of the Panther’s. Fox will (or should be) fired at the end of the season.
Jake Dumbhomme will be looking for a new job and Bill Cowher takes over as Head Coach.
