Report: Irish fire Weis

As expected, Notre Dame has fired coach Charlie Weis.

CFT has the full story.

Peter King of NBC said Sunday night that the favorites to secure the services of the former Patriots offensive coordinator are the Patriots, Chiefs, and Panthers, with the Colts being a “very, very dark horse.”

    What a surprise.
Does he join a team now or wait until the end of the season?

Welcome back to New England Mr Weis.

wtf does a very, very dark horse even mean? that they are incredibly unlikely to sign him? in that case, wouldn’t EVERY team be a very, very dark horse? Or does it mean that they ARE expected to sign him, but are being incredibly secretive about it. If thats the case, they are clearly doing a crappy job of that, since peter king, and by extension everyone on the planet, knows about it.
A little clarity for those of us that didn’t get all the way through our do-it-yourself mail-order journalism/ pastry chef kit.

My Money is on the Panthers Florio

I’m not sure why anyone would hire this guy. He has done nothing since he had the aid of cameras recording defensive signals. Its a no brainer, this guy has nothing to offer anyone accept to eat them out of house and home.

REPORT: Mike Florio uses roadkill for his hair!

Peyton Manning is the offensive coordinator in Indy, so I doubt it.
I look for the Chiefs to secure his services.

Weis may not be a head coach but I don’t think its all his fault. Lower your standards Golden wack jobs. As someone who hates religion, and ND I love it. Lets see what hot coach they hire only to see them fail. Maybe Jesus doesn’t exist and the real god is punishing you fags

    Notre Dame….Not the same.

Dark Horse probably means that they want him, but Weis has zero interest in watching Peyton Manning coach the team from a booth.
Welcome back to NE, as another guy already said.

I would not rule out Mr Davis and the Oakland Raiders making a move for Charlie Weis.

Notre Dame is paying him 18 mil to leave. Must be nice to throw money away like that…..

Coach Brian Kelley, Notre Dame is on line 2

    KC= OC Charlie Weis…hopefully

  15. tv says: Nov 30, 2009 3:31 PM

Let’s see, NE fans see him as invaluable – yet the team not only didn’t miss him as OC, the O actually got better without him.
Therefore, because I don’t like the Cheatriots, they certainly have my blessing to re-hire him. Maybe he can get them a win against Navy – opps, no he couldn’t!

    Notre Dame Blows…
Who care about them anymore anyways? Rich white religious nuts!
If i was a highly touted black player I would never step anywhere near that hole. After all, they believe Jesus is white and i would believe he was black…I just dont see how it would work.
Enough hating on religion, I just dont see why everyone cares so much about notre dame, oh, well its not that people care, its the media and people like Florio who cram it down our throat.
Notice I dont put Florio in media. Now I just have to find a way to stop clicking on this stupid site for its useless info that makes me angry.

He’ll be an offensive coordinator in the NFL likely for the Panthers, Chiefs, or Bears. Pats, Bills, TB, and many others are also possibilities.
He was a fine offensive coordinator but I don’t think he’s head coach material and definately not cut out for the college game.

Tom Cable will be named Irish coach

As much as I dislike Weiss I think he would at least be better than having Davidson as offensive coordinator…
