Kurt Warner’s recent head injury is a reminder for everyone associated with the Cardinals that his days as the team’s starter won’t last forever.
The team needed Matt Leinart last week, and it may need him a lot more down the stretch and in 2010. Leinart’s effort against the Titans may have eased minds in the Cardinals facility.
“We were all anxious to see how Matt would perform. I think he quieted a lot of concerns this weekend,” G.M. Rod Graves said.

I watched the game last night and Leinart’s bosses may be overselling things here; the Cardinals scored one offensive touchdown.
Leinart struggled in the first half and was slow to make decisions. He was much improved in the second half, operating efficiently in a short passing attack. He didn’t throw vertical successfully, and his receivers made some outstanding plays forhim.
As Josh Alper mentioned in today’s one-liners, Leinart felt he took advantage of the opportunity. Can’t disagree there, but life will get much tougher if he starts again this Sunday night against the Vikings. The Cardinals will need a lot more than one offensive touchdown.
This version of the Cardinals is built around Warner’s arm and quick release. It’s hard to imagine them as true Super Bowl contenders with Leinart behind center.

The Cards FO is just hyping Leinart up so they can trade him in the offseason. He’s just not a good fit in the Cards offense. They need a big arm… not a WCO QB.

The saints are an amazing team to watch,, I told everyone that Brees would be a stud and the Vikings should grab him. I am also pleased that they are having such a great season. Minnesota is winning and having fun doing it. Viking fans are eating it up, as would you be if you have had the aspirations and letdowns we true hornheads have lived through over the decades. I have no problem talking some smack, but this environment won’t let me just poop from the mouth. Leave that to others, whom shall remain nameless because those of us often commenting here know exactly who they all are. Most are Packers faithful, some daring Bears fans, and occasionally another opponent’s fans show up, too.
