Apparently in response to our report that the Browns plan to sign running back DeDe Dorsey, Dorsey has posted on his Twitter page that he has not signed with Cleveland.
“I have NOT signed with the Cleveland Browns,” Dorsey said. “I went up for a workout and physical. I am back home now waiting for more calls to come.”
But we were careful not to report that Dorsey already had signed with the Browns. Instead, we reported that the plan to sign him.
First, they’ve got to place running back Jamal Lewis on injured reserve, which as of earlier today they planned to do.
Though plans can change, we’ve got no reason to think they will.
From Dorsey’s perspective, until the Browns put a contract in front of him, there’s no reason for Dorsey to take down the “I need a job” flag.

DeDe is a good player (solid RB and very good on special teams as well). I’m a Bengals fan and we wanted to keep him, but we got what y’all fools might call a deep stable of RBs.

Yeah he’s a great back but won’t stay healthy. Give him more than 10 carries in a game and he’s done. He’s pretty fragile.

Until you guys find a way to get an NFL franchise into that shithole town, the jokes will continue. I used to have a healthy dose of hatred for all that is cleveland. now it’s more like pity. I have a lot of friends that are clowns fans. Pittsburgh-Cleveland week was a blast. We traded barbs all week and placed side bets regarding the outcome of the game on Sunday. You can only make a guy were a Hines Ward jersey so many times in a row. In the end, it’s just pitiful. I give you guys some credit. Some of you are still passionate.
