The two workers who slipped and fell while working on the roof at Cowboys Stadium this morning suffered what authorities called "significant injuries." But they are now in stable condition.
The Cowboys released a statement on behalf of Manhattan Construction saying that the two workers slipped on some ice and slid 250 feet down the main roof to a gutter at the bottom.
"Both employees were taken from the roof by Arlington Fire Department and transported to nearby area hospitals," the statement said. "Their conditions are stable at this time."
The statement said the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is currently at Cowboys Stadium investigating the incident. Dallas Assistant Fire Chief Don Crowson said the workers were not properly secured on the roof.
"I know that it is a common practice that you should be wearing safety gear in a high elevated position," Crowson said. "The reports I have right now is that they were not using safety equipment."
One worker was reportedly knocked unconscious, broke a leg and suffered injuries to his head and chest in the fall. The other worker suffered a back injury.

Seems like all of the Cowboys structures are dangerous....Me thinks the Devil is involved.
Admit it, Jerry Jones looks like satan get his skin bleached.
Man that is crazy. As someone who has been in the construction biz for 15 years there is no way I would be on a roof WITH ice on it without tying off.
That place is cursed. Kinda like the team, the quarterback in particular, the coach, the offensive coordinator, the owner and most of all, VoxVeritas.
No excuse for this, it could have easily been avoided by using commonly available fall protection equipment. OSHA should get a nice windfall out of this.
We Charger fans extend our thoughts and best-wishes to these individuals.
The fact that they slid over 80 yards down a roof and either one of them lived is stunning. I'd have had a heart attack before impact. God bless them both.
I thought I read this morning in the comments from Cowboys apologists that the two men fell TEN FEET? They weren't wrong were they?
The Cowboys are self righteous and haughty and arrogant, all attributes of their master Satan.
The great deception is they and the rest of delusional America think this team is so righteous.
And that they are Gods team.
This is Satans(God of this world) team. And he is deceiving them well.
Coupla tough guy ropers and wranglers? I hope the OSHA investigation goes well, I mean what with the guy getting the paralyzing gift from the unsafe structure that the Cowboys set up for the wind to blow up, you know they are looking around at that shabby organization
Oh yeah, almost forgot. I blame Obama
Not using required fall protection. Very stupid. And OSHA should be dishing out a big fine to either the Cowboys, the construction company or both.
Hard to blame the Cowpokes(as much fun as that can be) for this one. You have to be pretty dummmmmmmmbbbbb! not to be tied off, WITH ICE on the roof.
Talk about risking your own life, what the hell were those workers thinking?
I hope they are going to be ok, and get well soon.
I really dont know how the Cowboys can have anything to do with a contractor not practicing safe work habits and a contractor building a pos building. Obviously the companies are at fault and it is sickening that people would sit here and talk crap regarding someone's lives. You people are sad, very sad. Sleep well.
@ Fire
The Vox line was still pretty funny
Jerry's baby might be cursed...
Bwa Ha Ha -
You can blame Obama, but Obama blames Bush.
Probably illegals anyway. Not a huge loss.
Ice, in Dallas, In Early Dec. Did they drug test these clowns?
