DeSean Jackson not ruled out yet

Two Eagles already have been scratched for Sunday’s game at Atlanta — receiver Kevin Curtis (knee) and running back Brian Westbrook (concussion).

Another concussed player who presumably won’t be playing has not yet been given the “out” designation.

Still, receiver DeSean Jackson has not practiced on Wednesday or Thursday.

Defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley missed practice on Wednesday with an ankle injury, but he fully participated on Thursday.

Other Eagles who fully participated in practice on Thursday were defensive end Victor Abiamiri (knee), cornerback Sheldon Brown (hamstring), tight end Brent Celek (thumb), guard Nick Cole (knee), safety Quintin Demps (ankle), guard Todd Herremans (shoulder), receiver Jeremy Maclin (foot), defensive tackle Mike Patterson (wrist, toe), and cornerback Asante Samuel (neck).

Linebacker Akeem Jordan practiced on a limited basis on Thursday due to a knee injury; on Wednesday, he fully participated.

The Eagles are not going to play Jackson, he is too important.
The reason they haven’t ruled him out is just to make Atlanta have to gameplan for Jackson. It’s just one of those little things teams will do for whatever small advantage they can get. Lots of teams do this.
I think Jordan Norwood, (just came up from practice squad) is gonna have a 100 yard game…..just kidding. Poor kid will prob get eaten alive out there.

I think they should start Mike Vick. Why not, cant be worse than McNabb.

Jordan Norwood will not be eaten alive out there because he will not see the field at all.
We will miss Jackson, but with Maclin, Avant, and Brown he has almost no chance of playing.

@nfcbeast dont be so sure on norwood. just because hes on PS doesnt mean hes got no talent. i havent seen him play so idk but he could breakout, become the new kevin curtis.
but yeah andy reid does that all the time. he just loves to lie and cover up whats really happening…shocking that hes actually mormon. odds are he wont play (thank you goodell) and avant will start. and that makes me not too worried about it.

i am not worried avant is a proven guy for a number 3. he alwyas plays big when we need him i wish they would extend him this year, wiht maclin and jackson and avant i think those are 3 good guys plus celek. wow..

Even with Avant, Maclin and Brown and Celek ( who knows might not really be a factor with his hand situation ) I still think Norwood will get on the field, who knows maybe get a catch or two.
He was great at Penn State but he is as small as Desean….he might try too hard and get himself into a nasty situation. For example, a crossing route where he gets blown up by Mike Peterson

Kevin Curtis is still in the NFL? I thought he would’ve killed himself after dropping that crucial 4th down pass in last years NFC Champ game

Before I heard Jackson comments I thought he would play this week but since then I think this is just Gamesmanship by Andy Reid. He knows teams spend alot of time preparing for Jackson and all he can do. If its return punts, catch short intermediate routes, or the home runs. So he is probly just trying to force the Falcons into spending time preparing for Jackson. Which they have to do no matter how little the chance is he’ll play, because they cant take the risk of him playing and them no being prepared for it.
