On Sunday, Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez injured his left knee while being tackled by Carolina cornerback Richard Marshall.
On Thursday night, Sanchez injured the right knee, apparently while diving for a first down, displaying a sliding technique more similar to Pete Rose than Derek Jeter.
During the next play, Sanchez pulled up limping after making a handoff.
After that play, he hurried off the field and went straight for an examination table.
Following a commercial break, NFL Network’s Bob Papa explained that Sanchez landed on the right knee while diving forward.
Sanchez has walked to the locker room under his own power, with only a slight limp.
The Jets lead, 16-10.
UPDATE: Solomon Wilcots of NFLN reports that Sanchez is being fitted for a brace on his right knee, apparently in advance of returning to action. In his absence, Kellen Clemens has led the team to another field goal. The Jets lead, 19-10.
Joe Girardi’s forehead was just slapped by his right hand.

Joe Torre would’ve taught him better.

I haveo to say it, as a Browns fan, people were questioning why the Browns passed over on him!?
A lot of people do not remember this, but before his junior season, Mark Sanchez had a dislocated knee cap and had to have surgery on it.
The school stated it was not major surgery, but anything dealing with the knee and a football player, is suspect. That is why he wore the brace that season on the one leg.
Leg issues, quarterback – not a good mix!
The Jets can have him and Braylon too! Time for someone else to suffer the drama we have for the last 10 years!
