Forsett injured as Julius Jones returns

In a development that could impact Florio’s fantasy football team as much as the Seahawks, Seattle running back Justin Forsett strained his quadriceps Friday.

Forsett couldn’t complete practice and is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against San Francisco.

“I think he’ll be OK, but I can’t tell you for sure yet,” coach Jim Mora said.

The diminutive seventh-round pick from the 2008 draft has carried Seattle’s offense over the last three weeks, piling up 368 yards from scrimmage.

“When I felt it, I was like, man I should probably tell somebody about
this because I didn’t want to further injure myself,” Forsett said.

His role was already set to decrease against the 49ers with Julius Jones set to return from a bruised lung.  Jones is listed as probable and is expected to start.

If Forsett does suit up, the two Seahawks will likely split carries in a tough matchup.

So Florio’s fantasy team could be in trouble either way.

Ugh, I hate feeling somewhat happy about seeing a player go down. Forsett has been pretty filthy lately, and I didn’t wanna see him rack up huge yards against the Niners – I don’t think Julius has that in him.

Can’t catch a break with my fantasy teams at all. Thought I might finally be set for awhile.
