Browns sign a player not named DeDe Dorsey

We were told earlier this week that Browns running back Jamal Lewis would be placed on injured reserve, and that the Browns intended to sign DeDe Dorsey, MVP of the UFL title game, to take his place.

But something happened on the path from intent to action.

Dorsey has not yet been signed.  Today, the Browns elevated tight end Evan Moore from the practice squad to the 53-man roster.

And so the Browns will play the Chargers with two tailbacks, Jerome Harrison and Chris Jennings, and one fullback, Lawrence Vickers.

The 1-10 Browns host the 8-3 Chargers on Sunday.

Please Mr. Lerner, do not let Mangina have anything to do with the up coming draft. Fire Manweenie now so the healing can begin.

The browns are a UFL caliber team………Maybe DeDe was looking to make a step up……

Because Stankass Florio is a grossly incompetent journalist. Someone with his smug, arrogant, and unoriginal persona does not deserve his position. I have yet to hear responses from my emails to him and his associates about my open challenge for his job.

I say this team goes 6-6 if they were in either the SEC or the Pac-10 this year.
Right now, the defense is Eric Wright and nobody else who could start in the division. Good times in Cleveland…

    Thanks for the update, Mike.
And to the people bitching about this post, grow up. There are 32 NFL teams, each of whom has fans who are potential readers here. It’s funny how some of you don’t have the self-awareness to realize that taking the time to whine in the comments about a story makes you pathetic. I wonder how many of you email Rotoworld with the same complaints.

Does anyone even know who DeDe Dorsey is?

    yo akon rules.
get off florio’s balls and shut your mouth. if people want to bitch about the disgrace florio puts on this website, let them. its funny reading what people have to say and you got to act like mr. tough guy saying “It’s funny how some of you don’t have the self-awareness to realize that taking the time to whine in the comments about a story makes you pathetic”. no one wants to read your putrid and asinine respone. last time i checked this is america and people have freedom of speech. you need to grow up son

Bottom line: Even UFL players don’t want to play for the browns. Braylon whines his way out of Cleveland, Lewis somehow knows his concussion will last the rest of the season, and now Dede says no thank you….
At least Cleveland still has Lebron.

I guarantee Josh Cribbs finally gets to set up as a normal running back so we can see. Oh wait, I forgot Daboll’s favorite play is Cribbs wildcat, sweep right for 1 yard.

    come on, all the time.

DeDe Dorsey should be playin’ on the Seahawks.

  21. stevincinci says: Dec 6, 2009 12:10 AM

DeDe Browns! Can’t even figure out who dede want to sign. All jokes aside, DeDe is a good player, just got caught up in the numbers game here in cinci. Not to mention, very injury prone. Has never made it through a season. Has a Super Bowl ring though! More than most players can say. And a UFL ring.

LOL at dede dorsey possibly declining the browns and staying in the UFL for now, he was on the bengals roster for a while and knows what cleveland is all about…some nfl team will pick him up in the offseason and he’ll either make the team or be one of the final cuts. hed be in stripes if andre smith didnt take up two roster spots
