Chiefs send Kolby Smith to IR

Running back Kolby Smith, who showed flashes of ability as a rookie when Larry Johnson was injured, largely disappeared in 2008 after Jamaal Charles was drafted.

His third year in the NFL will end with a trip to injured reserve.

Smith has played in only four games this season, gaining 33 yards on 15 carries.

His spot on the roster will be filled by rookie running back Javarris Williams, a seventh-round pick who was promoted from the practice squad.

If Kansas City needs another back next week, give me a call please. I will put down the chips and remote and sit on the bench for a few hundred thousand dollars.

Tough break for Kolby….he worked his ass off to come back from that knee injury he got last season.

scrapdawg12; in order to play you’ll have to practice. Shall we go ahead and make the check out to your widow just to simplify things.
