Jacoby Jones won't play at Jacksonville

Houston Texans wide receiver and return man Jacoby Jones was not on today’s team flight to Jacksonville and will not play Sunday against the Jaguars after he was late to a team meeting.

John McClain of the Houston Chronicle is reporting that Jones did not accompany the team to Jacksonville and was told that he should stay home rather than fly to Jacksonville on his own.

With Jones not playing Sunday against the Jaguars, Glenn Martinez will get more playing time at wide receiver and also replace Jones as the Texans’ primary punt returner.

Jones doesn’t get the ball a lot on offense, but he’s a dangerous deep threat, with 16 catches for 265 yards and four touchdowns this season. He also has an 11.0-yard average on punt returns and a 27.6-yard average on kickoff returns.

This should really open things up for Walter to have a big game. Its just him and Andre now.

Walter should have a good game just because he is playing Jacksonville.
I hope they put Ryan Moats in as the return man, tiny guy has got some serious speed.

This has nothing to do with the post, but since your big time now, don’t you think PFT could afford a professionally done logo and not one that you did in paintshop pro? Hmm maybe not.
