Benson active for Bengals vs. Lions

Cincinnati Bengals running back Cedric Benson is active and will be back on the field today against the Detroit Lions.

Benson’s hip injury seems to have healed; he was listed as probable and was a full participant in practice this week. Larry Johnson will back Benson up.

The Bengals’ inactives are running back Fui Vakapuna, linebacker Dan Skuta, running back Bernard Scott, defensive tackle Domata Peko, wide receiver Jerome Simpson, center Jonathan Luigs, tight end Chase Coffman and third quarterback Jordan Palmer.

The Lions’ inactives are third quarterback Drew Stanton, wide receiver Eric Fowler, free safety Kalvin Pearson, fullback Terrelle Smith, linebacker Ernie Sims, guard Daniel Loper, offensive tackle Ephraim Salaam and defensive tackle Landon Cohen.
