Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is back in Atlanta today, and in the third quarter he ran for a touchdown — his first touchdown since October of 2006, when he played for the Falcons.
Vick’s score was a five-yard touchdown run on a third-and-1. He lined up as the quarterback in the shotgun, took the snap and plowed straight up the middle, lunging into the end zone as he was brought down.
Once he got up in the end zone, Vick pumped his fist in celebration and tried to toss the ball to some fans in the front row, but the ball hit the net behind the goal post and didn’t reach the fans.
The fans in Atlanta have been loudly booing Vick throughout the game, and they booed him again after he scored. This time they may have also been booing the Falcons, though, as the score gave the Eagles a 20-0 lead.
Go Mick Vick.
What did you expect? Vick to complete a pass?
It’s embarrassing that he is playing in the NFL.
Eagurls have been trying hard to get him a score. Only took until week 13. They had to run him since his pass attempts are so bad.
Fitting his first NFL TD was with the Falcons and his last is against them. Doubt he’ll do much else for the year or his career.
Vick Bounty
I’m glad for him. As an Eagles fan, I don’t think they should have signed him, but only because they don’t need him, as evidenced by their lack of using him. I’m glad he could score his first TD in Atlanta. The guy was a piece of shit, got in trouble, and did his time. He’s now a free man, and should be afforded whatever opportunities he can get. Shouldn’t be denied anything simply because he went to prison.
the beginning of the comeback. next year some desolate team (see; Raiders, Rams) will probably sign him, or the eagles will trade him. with a bad oline vick can thrive and if he has a good runningback or a decent wr hes set.
Hooby, he had White and Mike Jenkins for years. But, he can’t throw down field. He made crumpler a probowler because of his inability to get the ball more than 15 yds.
Look what happened to white after vick. He caught 1,200+ yds from Joey Harrington, Byron Leftwitch and Chris Redman.
He peaked with the Falcons after their 11-5 season. The next couple years, they would start fast winning six of their first 8 and then finish at .500.
Unless makes a VY (and I’m not completely sold on VY) sort of transformation, he will be out of the league in a year.
They are yelling “We Want Vick!” And he makes a big pass and Ronnie Brown is hyping the Atlanta crowd.
And the crowd is going wild!
Yep! This is Vick’s dream, and the Falcons nightmare.
Giving him the ball once or twice a game on third down and 1 is trying to get him to score? News to me. This is the only game I’ve seen them letting vick go for the 6, and guess what? He’s done it twice. Now go back to your hole.
NICE MIKE. Welcome back… here’s to many happy wins to come… and to keeping your nose and leashes clean and righteous.
ha the falcons suck now start the vick bashing cause you got your hat handed to you… yeah redman would teach us…lol falcons suck….. bye bye playoffs, hello top ten pick…….ha ha all week falcon fan going on and on how they would beat the eagles……guess not……..lol

Well jackass you should hold your comments until the game is over, because later in the game he completed a 50 yard pass down the sidelines and threw a few more completions an one them were for a touchdown.
That was a very big touchdown for the Eagles it put them up by 20 and seemed to break the will of the Falcons the rest of the game. The touchdown was even more important for the future of the Eagles.
Vick over the last couple of weeks seems to have gotten his legs back under him and has ran well when given the chance. Finding his way into the endzone was important. Then later in the game when he finally had a chance to play consecative plays without coming out he threw very well and one of his passes went for a touchdown.
Also when the defense had to worry about him as a regular qb he seemed to do alot better running the ball. Thats what Vick is hes a very mobile qb. He is not a wildcat or slash qb. Everyone has said he lost something but we havent seen him play his usual position before today. Once he finally had a chance to play as a regular qb he looked like the old Mike Vick.
So why I said this will help the Eagles future is b/c other teams seen him play good as a normal qb. And with all the terrible qb play in the NFL this year someone will probly want the Vick they seen play today on their team. So the Eagles will probly be able to get atleast a 3rd round pick for him and thats being modest. I have said since the beggining thats why hes here. To possibly add a little to the Eagles offense this year but mainly as a way to get a draft pick or two next year. Anyone who thought he was a replacement for Mcnabb is an idiot.
Creative Loafing Atlanta, did a video on how Atlanta feels about Michael Vick check it out
