Earlier today, Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that the Redskins would be bringing in multiple kickers for a look-see this week, after Shaun Suisham missed a 23-yarder that likely would have clinched a win over the unbeaten Saints.
Schefter had the name of one contender -- Graham Gano. Per Jason La Canfora of NFL Network, the other three are Shane Andrus, Nick Novak, and Mike Nugent.
Presumably, one of them will get the job and Suisham will get the shoe.
We suggest a spelling bee-style contest with the candidates kicking 23-yard field goals until three of them miss.
Of course, that might take a while. Most kickers, after all, never miss a 23-yard field goal.

I honestly can't believe Suisham is still in the league. He was garbage when he first came in with the Cowboys.

I feel for the guy. Kickers get kicked around a lot in the NFL. It's always easy to blame the kicker. Usually the blame should be spread.
That said, I, even with my generosity, would change kickers after that miss.

I would take Brandon Coutu over all the kicker's they bring in.
Nick Novak is a quality kicker.......The sad truth about the Skins is that they will never be a winner until Dan Snyder goes away.......Which won't happen for a long, long..time.....

Screw Mike Nugent, the 4Skins can have him. He sucked and got hurt, and then Feely came in and has done a decent job. Better than Nugent at least. He is terrible.

It's a shame, Suisham has actually had a solid year. Unfortunately, all his misses were crtical. Sorry about your luck Suisham. The team sucks, but you'll have to fall on the sword for this one. Best of luck in the UFL.

shame for the kicker, it shouldn't have come down to that. Why not try out qb's, campbell's pick at a bad time cost the game if your going to boil it down to one play...............
At 2:09 left, they could have let it go to the 2 minute warning, and instead snapped another play. Could have cost New Orleans another 45 seconds and maybe stopped them. Nobody but me saw that???? could be I am seeing things, though. I hang at gin mills with Florio sometimes
I can only hope Suisham is the first of many changes to come for this 'team'.
