Terrell Suggs didn't make trip to Green Bay

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs did not make the trip to Green Bay and won’t play in tonight’s game against the Packers.

The news that he stayed home was first reported by ESPN sideline reporter Michelle Tafoya.

Suggs was listed as doubtful with a knee injury he suffered in a Monday night game when Browns quarterback Brady Quinn took a cheap shot at his knees. This will be the third straight game he has missed.

Over the weekend it was reported that Suggs had a restraining order taken out against him.

I doubt the restraining order is why he didn’t make the trip. Ray Ray is on the team and he had a damn murder charge against him.
If the guy is hurt and definitely not playing why force him to cram on a plane, stand on the sidelines for hours and stuff himself back on a plane again when he can be rehabbing?

That was one of the most blatant dirty shots I have ever seen. Quinn was fined what $10K?? Thats an outrage being that the league is trying to cut down on senseless injuries. Quinn should have been fined $50-$75K & suspended a game. This would have sent a good message to the league.
We need T Sizzle back, Go Ravens !!

Would you losers let go of the 90′s and the Ray murder crap? That was like 10 years ago and you hillbillies keep waiving that tired flag.

Ravens are too beat up to be able to contain the Packers tonight.
They can stop Grant(who can’t?) but won’t be able to slow down the passing game. Ravens will be one dimensional on offense with Ray Rice as their only playmaker being able to do anything. Derrick Mason will be covered by Mr. Woodson all game.

This post is coming from a Ravens fan.
Raven’s fans know a cheap shot when they see them… after seeing so many through the years…

    Eamony,
So the Ravens will be one dimensional b/c they can’t throw.
    AND
The Packlers will be one dimensional b/c they can’t run.
    Advantage Packers? I guess.

Hillbillies? You dumbass it was defending Suggs for not letting the restraining order be the reason that he didnt make the trip.
Try taking a reading comprehension course before you pop off.

My point is is that if you contain the one running back, you pretty much contain the Ravens offense. Mason isn’t even a concern.
The Packers have four legitimate receivers that the Ravens average secondary won’t be able to shut down. You have an awesome Safety who is currently nursing an injury(might not even play), and your #1 corner went down in week 5. One of your best linebackers won’t even be at the game, and Ray Lewis isn’t as quick as he once was. The only thing really going for the Ravens Defense is their pass rush, which hasn’t been very good the past three weeks. And the packers are protecting Rodgers much better, compared to the first half of the season.
Can’t wait for tonight! Baltimore will soon be 0-3 at Lambeau.

Wow. Maybe your hillbilly ass needs a comprehension course.

Who cares about the Lewis murder jokes. They’re funny.
Watch Ray Lewis knife his way into the backfield!
Wow, Ray Lewis is cutting up this offense!
What a murderous shot Ray Lewis just put on him!
(I’ll see the rest of PFT planet in hell for that)

On the bright side, the women in Green Bay dont have to worry about “T Sizzle” going out drinking and bitch slapping them……
And as long as they keep Ray Ray on the field, no one has to worry about getting stabbed either…..
(I wouldnt have posted that Ray Ray part, except that it clearly irritates the Ravens fans to no end, which is funny. Just like calling Big Ben “Rapistburger”, and calling the Pats “cheaters”, and calling Romo “Homo” or “Choke artist”, etc…..)

Wow there’s some real hatred for the Ravens. Or is it just Steeler fans?

I think he should have made the trip. That way, he could stand on the sidelines and support his team a la Troy Polamalu. He’s still getting paid–why can’t he freeze on the sidelines with his teammates?

The Packers can’t run? They are 11th in YPC and 13th in the NFL in rushing. That’s hardly “can’t run” and they’ve been running it better and more often as of late.
Hell, they even lead the Ravens in both of the same stats I just listed, so I guess the Raven’s can’t run or pass. Should probably get your facts straight before you spout off.

    @ Emoney:
Our pass defense is not as bad as advertised, especially now that our rookie has a start under his belt, but I think the freezing weather conditions will slow your pass game.
And NOBODY stops Ray Rice. NOBODY. The Packers may very-well win the game, but Ray Rice is gonna get his, as sure as night and day, you can set your watch to it.

First of all I will say I think the Ravens are a tough team but either their schedule has caught up with them or they have just not produced lately.
People say the Packers can’t run the ball but Grant has more yards than Rice and Grant isn’t even a “featured” back. They run him just enough to set up Rodgers and Company.
The Packers are rested, the D and Woodson are playing much better than earlier, and the Ravens have scored 4 TD’s in their last 43 drives.
The Ravens are a courageous bunch but I think that’s about all they have to keep this game even close.

Restraining order? You must be awfully proud of your Drama Queen, ppdoc.
