Titans-Colts one-liners

Several offensive mistakes, including a big drop by WR Nate Washington, contributed to the Titans’ 27-17 loss to the Colts.

Said Titans WR Kenny Britt of the team’s offensive struggles, “We know that we have to keep up with the point for point. That’s
exactly what we wanted to do, and that’s exactly what we are capable
of. We got in the redzone, and we just couldn’t punch it in. It hurt us.”

Titans RB Chris Johnson ran for 113 yards, but wasn’t able to break any of the long runs that have become his trademark.

A personal foul penalty on Titans DT Tony Brown put the Colts in position for a field goal that extended their lead to 14 points at halftime.

The Titans defense couldn’t get off the field and allowed the Colts to convert 64 percent of their third downs.

With the Titans shutting down TE Dallas Clark and WR Reggie Wayne, Colts WR Pierre Garcon stepped up with six catches for 136 yards.

In addition to tying the NFL record with their 21st consecutive regular-season win, the Colts set a record with their seventh-straight 12-win season.

Facing first-and-goal from their own one-yard-line, the Colts defense “bowed up” and held the Titans scoreless.

Colts CB Jerraud Powers made a big play on that stand by pushing Britt out of the end zone before he could get his feet down on a fourth-down pass.

RB Joseph Addai carried the load in the Colts running game, finishing with a season-high 79 yards and two touchdowns.
