War of words: Adams a "dirtbag," Tuck a "nobody"

At the end of the first half of the Giants’ win over the Cowboys on Sunday, New York defensive end Justin Tuck and Dallas offensive tackle Flozell Adams had a confrontation on the field.

After the game they ripped each other in their respective locker rooms.

Tuck called Adams a “dirtbag” and said he was simply jogging off the field after the last play of the first half when Adams pushed him in the back.

“I didn’t have to find out what it was about,” Tuck said. “It takes a coward and some more words that I can’t say right here to push a guy in the back when the play is dead.”

Tuck said he doesn’t have animosity toward the Cowboys as a team, but he has plenty of animosity toward Adams personally.

“A few guys in Dallas I really admire as people,” Tuck said. “He’s not one of them.”

Asked about their confrontation after the game, Adams called Tuck “a nobody.”

All hating aside, there’s no excuse for what Adams did, and it was all on video.
It’s not one of those, he said, she said things.

Flozel Adams is above and beyond the biggest scumbag in the league. He just beat out Hines Ward after that BS. As a Cowboys fan I was yelling at the TV that he be ejected. That was classless, but what is funny is that it wasnt like Tuck did anything of any relevance in that game, just let him be. He sucks so why add fuel to the fire? Flozell should be suspended for the rest of the season though.
Hey Vox, I guess I should have went to the “bookie” with that predicition huh?

First place means nothing, moron, and Philly fans are laughing because your Cowboys haven’t won a SB since Troy Aikman stopped speaking coherently.

We ALL know that the EAGLES haven’t won a superbowl, just like we ALL know that the Cowboys haven’t won a playoff Game since the Clinton administration. It is just FUN bieng in the present and not living in the past.

    Week 14 vs San Diego-L
Week 15 at New Orleans-L Payton owns you guys
Week 16 at Washington -L Redskins have been playing everyone close and they almost won in Big D
Week 17 vs Philly- By that point the Eagles could have 1st place wrapped up so it won’t matter, but still probably a loss

  21. Zaggs says: Dec 7, 2009 9:32 AM

Arguably their schedule is the hardest of the NFC East. If/when the losses start to pile up, the big question will be: When does Facelift Jones pull the plug!! LOL…..I LOVE IT!!!
The best part of all this: Dallas Cowboy fan doesn’t even realize what’s happening(at least the stupid ones don’t, wiser fans are biting their tongues and crossing their fingers)
The good news Dallas Cowboy fan, you control your own destiny….for now!

Dammit Vox you idiot. How many times do I have to tell you that the NFL wasn’t invented in 1967. The NFL has been around since the 1920s. That’s 47 years of football that Cowboy fans seem to forget about regarding championships. To have a sport that has been around for 90 years and disregard half of the leagues history and championships is down right disrespectful to the game. The superbowl, not the NFL, was created in 67. How about next year we change the name of the World Series to the American baseball championship so we can say the Yankees have never won anything. Don’t disrespect the game and the league and the history you ass.

  32. RomoSHITTSTheBedYetAgain says: Dec 7, 2009 10:10 AM

    Matter of fact…forget the schedule.
All you have to do is look at the head to head matchup in the month of December for the last DECADE.
    12/22/08- Eagles W, 44-6
    12/16/ 07 Eagles W, 10-6
    12/25/06- Eagles W, 23-7
    12/19/04-Eagles W, 12-7
    12/7/ 03- Eagles W, 36-10
    12/21/02-Eagles W, 27-3
    12/12/99- Pokes W, 20-10
You have to go back Reid and McNabb’s ROOKIE SEASONS to see a Dallas win in December.
Two of those wins were with backup QBs. (Garcia and Feeley)
Average margin of victory= Approx 19 pts.
Average points scored by Dallas= 6.5 pts.
    Sobering, isn’t it?

  35. slutnuts says: Dec 7, 2009 10:29 AM

thank you. i cant believe how people simply disregard the history of the league because the name of the championship game was changed after the league expanded (AFL was invited to the party). other leagues have expanded, their pre-expansion championships haven’t been ignored. to ignore everything pre 1967 is to pretend guys like jim brown, otto graham, and other hof’s didnt play the game.

  39. gianthinker says: Dec 7, 2009 10:53 AM

First, let me say I’m a Giants fan.
I never understood the mentality of guys like Adams. If Tuck is a “nobody” then you just got yourself fined and potentially suspended, not to mention put a fire under the Giants, for a “nobody”? Maybe you should look in the mirror buddy. You’ve been fined multiple times for fights, tirades and tripping. You had to change positions because you weren’t very good as a LT. Now you’re calling names? He fits in perfectly in Dallas.

  40. magsdad1 says: Dec 7, 2009 10:54 AM

This has nothing to do with the Eagles or anything else except for a mediocre NFL lineman that is a detriment to his team, playing outside of the rules (both written and unspoken) because of his inability to effectively play the position. Between this act and the constant tripping, he should be suspended.

  41. Bigbluefan says: Dec 7, 2009 11:04 AM

The REAL NFL started when the Cowboys entered the league? Are you serious with that statement?
I believe the year was……1960. Now let’s talk about 1960. First ever game played between the Eagles and Cowboys. Eagles win 27-25 IN DALLAS. And then…….the Eagles…..go on to……. win the…… NFL Championship.
Perhaps you would like to revise your previous statement??

  44. fellasheowed says: Dec 7, 2009 12:02 PM

kinda amusing, flozelle is pretty much a nobody…he gets the walmart vote from dallas fans who can’t name another tackle on their pro bowl ballot some years, other than that he is known for taking penalties and killing drives…
at least tuck is known for making big plays in a championship run… but a tarstar player with an over inflated sense of his own accomplishments….imagine the day…

  45. RomoSHITTSTheBedYetAgain says: Dec 7, 2009 12:02 PM

    Really?
    0-3 w/o “Sureshot”
In that time, you’ve been outscored 83-38 and your QB has a 2 to 4 TD to INT ratio.
    Sure about that?

  46. Sasquash says: Dec 7, 2009 12:37 PM

I love how Cowfags live in the past. Sorry to say but the Cowfags have no shot at anything this season. Your remaining games may keep you out of the playoffs. Your coach is a joke that doesn’t even get respect from his team. Your owner is a wormburner who has to stick his nose in everything and run all the good coaches out of town(J.Johnson, Parcells). The Eagles or Giants will win the division and then get there face kicked in by the Saints. Giants secondary is to banged up and Andy Reid will coach the Eagles to a playoff lose which will leave the Saints, Cards and Vikings to battle for the NFC shot. The real question for Cowfag fans is, do you spit or swallow?

  47. scrapdawg12 says: Dec 7, 2009 1:30 PM

Flozell is seriously retarded. If he’s not false starting, he’s trying to start a fight in which he would lose. Win a december football game Dallas and stop trying to fight. Maybe beating the shit out of Romo would solve things. Enough with the CowFags talk Florio. Nobody cares about them anymore. They suck

Asked about their confrontation after the game, Adams called Tuck “a nobody.”
I am not a fan of any NFC East teams, but I just love watching Dallas fall apart in December. As for Adams calling Tuck a “nobody” last time I checked Justin was part of a Super Bowl championship team. Adams has not even sniffed the big game.
Cowboy fans can talk about their five
championships all they want. Those days are long gone. They will never win a playoff game as long as Tony Romo is their QB. Adan better keep his dirtbag mouth shut.

  50. texasPHINSfan says: Dec 7, 2009 1:56 PM

I’m entertained that everytime there is a discussion about the NFCE, there are always references to the past, but rarely to the current climate.
Who cares about which team has won the most superbowls, or the last time a team has won anything? All that matters is right NOW.
Lastly, anyone that can possibly find a way to defend Adams on that one….. just sad man, just sad. Very poor sportsmanship.

  51. Haywood Jabuzzoff says: Dec 7, 2009 2:23 PM

Ironic how every year Dallas gets the “they’ve got soooo much talent, but no playoff wins” treatment, but when it comes to anyone else (Eagles, for instance), it’s just another pat on the back & a “welp, we’ll try it again next year, eh Reid? Poor fella. McNabb too. Awww…”
Now, either the Eagles have hired nothing but bums during their entire existence, and have largely made themselves a public drain on the Pennsylvania economy through pointless jersey & ticket sales… or… it’s just one big conspiracy, and the whole world is out to get them, led of course by Jerry Jones. As indicated previously (and furiously) no one else except Eagle fans counts pre AFC/NFC merger “championships” as anything else but fossilized records of a time when both the forward pass & motorized car were frowned upon. You all remember those days, right? Back when teams were made of school teachers, truck drivers, longshoreman… the athletic talent levels! WOW! If only some of those players could be here today… tsk-tsk… just think of how horribly the 2009 Saints would be flat-out embarassed by the 1921 champs, the Chicago Bears (Staleys)? So here’s a beer to you, Eagle fans, for keeping that bitter, iron grip on dear ol’ great grandpa’s jersey & never letting go.
    Have a bratwurst.

    @ Haywood
    Congratulations!
That entire post made absolutely no sense!
Either you’re double fisting Jim Beam litres between keystrokes or you truly are the PFT Spokesman for Clueless Dallas Fans Everywhere.
Here’s a tip: Just like you take shots at history, no matter how recent or distant, that also includes the same history that the rest of your minions burst at the seams to reference repeatedly when you mention the VERY PRESENT.
    Doesn’t matter if you’re talking about the ’29 Packers, the ’53 Lions, ’61 Packers, ’72 Dolphins, ’89 Niners, ’99 Rams…..etc….
    It happened.
    It’s on the books.
And they had GREAT players that would be GREAT today.
If your ridiculously weak argument about “athletic talent levels” was valid then Steve Van Buren’s record of consecutive seasons leading the league in both rushing yardage AND touchdowns ….or Ernie Nevers single game record for SIX rushing TD in NINETEEN TWENTY BLOODY NINE …would have been obliterated a LONG time ago.
Funny thing is…they haven’t. And both of those guys are in Canton. And their records still stand today.
Players with the last name of Brown, Payton, Dickerson, or Smith couldn’t touch them. The same players whom you make the inference they have superior “athletic talent levels”.
Yet, I just bet you seem to think the ’67 Cowboys would have had a chance vs the 2000 Ravens or the ’85 Bears, right? Of course you do.
Just another ICF. (Idiot Cowboys Fan)

Why stop there? Since you have obvious Dallas bias, I guess you wouldn’t be interested in looking at the career of another Dallas OT that was as dirty as Tiger Woods’ cell phone: Erik Williams.
The “hands to the face” penalty was created and enforced BECAUSE of Williams. Never met a legwhip he didn’t like. Go ask John Jurkovic about Williams. Ended his career with a blindside cutblock at the knees. Dirty? There isn’t enough soap in the world that could clean up Williams when he played.
But, just like a typical ICF, they always deflect criticism when it comes to the Pokes.
    No surprise.

…….Say the Cowboys fans that think that there’s a single person aside from Jerruh Jones and maybe some athletic trainers that had anything to do with the mid-90′s dynasty.
We really need to get with the times here in Eagle Nation. I mean, who knew that it was not okay to live in the past of 50 years ago but totally acceptable to live in the past of 15 years ago?
The mid-90′s are just as irrelevant as the late 60′s. The difference between the Birds and Boys in that time? We get to watch our team win in January. You get to try and subtract the difference between 44 and 6.
