Cowboys left tackle Flozell Adams won’t be suspended for has latest run-with Justin Tuck, but he will pay for shoving the Giants defensive end.
Jason La Canfora of NFL Network reports that “The Hotel” was fined $50,000 by the league, bringing Adams’ total fines this year to $75,000. (Watch out Rodney Harrison, he’s coming for your career record.)
It is rare to see a fine this large for an on-field conduct issue, but Flozell’s fines have escalated with repeat offenses. A suspension is reportedly likely if he misbehaves again this season.
Then again, we wrote a similar sentence about Adams in October after his third fine of the year.
Should have been fined and suspended for his cheap lame shot.
Is that all!!
A suspension might have sent a message, this just adds extra withholding from the paycheck.
I though Goodell was not going to be soft on crime?
This isn’t much more that Chad’s Sombrero.
thats a lot of krispy cremes
BS – Goodell will never suspend a beloved Cowboys player. What a joke league.
Bouya!
Well, so much for the prediction that the “No Fun League” was going to come down harder on Ochocinco for his urban sombrero than on Fat Flo for his dirty play. Mea culpas, sil vous plait.
What a joke, what is the NFL thinking? Maybe he will finally stop after the fifth or sixth time. The league jumped through hoops to protect the franchise quarterbacks, but is toothless when it comes to disciplining an obvious dirty player
I have to agree with BradyD, short of a cowturd pulling a knife they aint going to be suspended. Especially late in the season.
I guess it will be up to the D to take care of blowzell
If not the saints or the egirls maybe JT will get his shot in the playoffs
Of course that is if the cowpies make the playoff and it would have to be a wildcard game because we know if anything they are one and done
Oh and in advance Child Please Vex
Flozell is a punk ass bitch, and if the helmets came off Justin Tuck would kick his sorry ass.
Giant fans are crybaby wuss bags…if you watch the film, the play just ended and Flozelle kept blocking people as he didnt know the play ended. After he hit tuck he went to block the next guy…..giant fans need to STFU and be happy with the win…..”Oh, boo hoo..flozelle is gonna hurt someone”..gimme a break you whiney babies….
The NFL won’t suspend a Cowboy!
Q. If $50,000 is “Fifty large,” what is $15,000,000,000,000? A. The national debt.
Must be nice to have Jerry Jones has a owner. Play dirty, smoke crack, beat women, whatever as long as you play for the cowboys you can do whatever you want without serious consequence…..
I’m sure he would have been suspended if the Cowboys were playing the Rams next week. Goodell is Jerry Jones’ bitch.
The obvious question that comes to my head is if this doesn’t…
WHAT DOES DESERVE A SUSPENSION?????
I think not suspending him for what he did at the end of the half was the right call, but the fine should have been larger and he should have been warned that if he commits another infraction that carries with it a high degree of injury to the player he is going against (such as his patented leg whips and log blocks to the knees) that he will be fined the maximum amount possible AND suspended for at least one game. This guy will end somebody’s career.
Fair. Could have been $75k and it would still be worth it. Jerruhs got the cash. He and the NFL will get it all back in ratings next go round.
Thats why theres no suspension. More vitriol.
(for you stoners, it means: anger, fury, wrath, etc…)
So Flo is making only $1 million this year in salary. One may think, “Damn, $50,000, that is 5% of his yearly salary.” But, then you have to think that he got over $13 million in guaranteed money. And he will get more than $5 mil next year.
My point is, until Goodell decides to start throwing around percentage fines, instead of dollar amounts, nothing will change. You fine a special teams player $10,000, its a big deal. That is nothing for Ochocinco. Why not say, “you do X, you lost 50% of you game check”? I think that would get some people’s attention.
There goes his biscuits and gravy budget. For one month.
“Goodell will never suspend a beloved Cowboys player.”
It’s not his fault that the Cowboys are one of the cleanest teams in the NFL. Not really sure what your gripe is, the Pats have a guy that was busted smuggling hillbilly heroin into the country that not only did not get suspended, he basically walked away scot-free.
I guess they are waiting for him to end the season of a star player before they act.
How does that shot, NOT warrant a suspension??? Goddell treats this, almost on par with what Ocho Cinco did, this only goes to show what a phony piece of garbage Goddell is, a guy taking repeated cheap shots is allowed to play, we’ll continue to escalate Ocho Cinco’s fines so that they are about the same as a guy like Adams, a repeated cheap shot artist, …makes sense to me, but then again I think Roger Goddell is a DOUCHEBAG
Should have suspended his fat ass.
Bud Adams gets a $250,ooo fine for flipping someone the bird and this fat *uck gets a $50K fine for a repeat offense that once again constitutes another cheap shot/dirty play on his part. Adams’s gesture never had the potential of ending someone’s career.
The NFL may stand for a lot of things but one of the most obvious is, it’s become the “not fair league” when it comes to the weekly doling out of fines.
We’ll just suspend him the next time, or perhaps the time after that, or maybe the time after that, or maybe Goodell will never stand up and do what’s right.
If his continued cheap shots end another player’s career it’s because the league failed to fulfill it’s responsibility.
What a joke. Bud Selig’s retiring, Goodell should follow him out the door.
The cowboys need to step up as an organization and deal with this problem. My suggestion is that they have aunt flo line up as a QB a couple times and take some snaps, then the next time he takes an incredibly cheap shot at a defensive player, the defensive player will be fined for “striking the QB’s hands with the back of his shoulder pads.”
If the NFL is serious about stopping stuff like this they need to suspend the guy for the next game, and eject him from the current game. This wasnt a shoulder bump, or any sort of incidental contact, so get serious.
I am a Cowboy’s fan and I just saw the play via You Tube…Flozell Adams should not only be fined, he should be fined the rest of his ‘nfl career’ salary and be suspended for life from the NFL.
First of all, the play was over. And second of all, you don’t shove someone in the back regardless. That’s a block in the back even if the play was still live.
Yeah, Adams is classless and his skills have all but diminished. He needs to go!
“I guess they are waiting for him to end the season of a star player before they act.”
That’ll never happen so long as he’s just kicking Justin Tuck’s ass.
“How does that shot, NOT warrant a suspension?”
Because he just pushed him, ya big fairy.
“Adams’s gesture never had the potential of ending someone’s career.”
Bud Adams or Flozell Adams? He pushed a guy down and it didn’t even look like he gave it all he had, seriously, that’s going to end somebody’s career? The Giants are notorious floppers, worse than Karl Malone ever was.
“If his continued cheap shots end another player’s career”
Another player’s career? Who’s career has already been ended by Flozell Adams? Or are you talking about Bud Adams?
Popeye…come to Giants stadium and say that to some of our fans. You’ll be sipping your food out of straw for next couple months.

and said giants fans will be spending a few years of theirs in prison.
as for why bud adams was fined much more than flozell its because he’s an owner. there is absolutely no excuse for his actions. as for flozell being fined. i stated this in one of the other “flozell should be suspended whine fests”, if flozell were to get suspended for this, than every defensive player that tee’s off on an unsuspecting qb should be suspended as well. not only that, so should any player at any given moment whether the whistle has been blown or not for hitting an unsuspecting player (ala hines ward on keith rivers). these plays happen all the time every game. the ONLY reason its a big deal is 1. because its between division rivals 2. flozell was fined earlier in the season 3. lets all be honest here, its the dallas cowboys.
I’m not defending what Flozell did, but after reading all the comments on this subject, I have to say this:
You guys talk about Flozell like he’s a disgrace to American society and should be deported from the country.
Is he dirty? Yes.
Did he deserve to be fined? Yes.
But I feel that this is making a mountain out of a molehill.
Also- would any of you have the guts to say what you wrote to his face? You talk the talk, but can you walk the walk?
I love it! LOL $50K is chump change for our beloved Flo and worth it to see 2 individuals from 2 divisional arch rivals go at it….well, more like Flo pushing Tuck down when he wasn’t looking but heck, I don’t care! I like heated games regardless of who wins (and looks like my boys ain’t winning jack this season)….especially in December. C’mon guys! don’t get your panties twisted. Who really cares? Oh, and by the way, I love how Jerry runs the NFL….what revenue sharing LMFAO!
I wonder how much Jerry Jones paid Roger Goodell not to suspend his beloved Cowboy buddy……
Hey Vox, two words: CLEAN SWEEP.
Though if everyone were to vote on the most bullshit line ever typed I think this one would win: “It’s not his fault that the Cowboys are one of the cleanest teams in the NFL”. I mean its not like they have a dirtly play foul names after one of their players (Roy Williams Rule).
I can also understand why Vox is so understated with what Adams did because like Flozell Vox also likes the do the rough stuff from behind on men whether its on the field on in between the stalls.
Popeye, “if you watch the film, the play just ended and Flozelle kept blocking people as he didnt know the play ended” learn to watch TV. The replay shows the ref waving his hands (which means the whistles are blowing) in the air BEFORE adams made contact with tuck which means the whistle had already blown. The fact he went after someone else also shows he deserved a suspension.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M7qye-KxaFc
thats the address of the video. Show the ref NOT waving his hands before Adams hit Tuck.
all you pansies make me laugh. the guy pushed a guy after a play. no way he should be suspended.
i’d have more respect for you if you didn’t comment as a cowboys hater and instead objectively gave your opinion.
good night weenies.
Vox,
Aren’t you smarter than that?
Flozzie is one player. Romo is another player, Witten is even another player. The goes for Tuck, Osi, etc.
Another player would mean ending a player’s career.
Don’t stoop to being as dumb as richman….
Hey Vox…. SWEEP!
And for the record 32 of the 32 teams would trade flozell for Tuck in a heartbeat… and yes that includes the cowboys. Sorry if flozell is not an embarrassment to you but he is to everyone else in dallas and around the league. Hell… he wouldn’t of had to trip both Osi and Tuck if he could have blocked them, but he couldn’t.
So two trips and a shove to the back (*ussy) cost him 62k. At least he still gets to play and get abused. I like that the cowboys keep him in, he’s not very good and keeps them from improving by playing someone for the future.
Btw (by the why, because I know your slow) but the giants beat you twice now. I doubt you’ll get a third chance. Like I said before, there isn’t a team in the league that would pick flozell over tuck… oh the irony that flozell doesn’t even realize it.
Tuck doesn’t have to push him in the back, he beat him one on one, face to face. So flozell had to trip him, like the fat slob he is.
“Justin Tuck is a nobody, I have to trip a nobody because I was gettin’ beat like a red headed step child.” -Flozell
You’re only as good as the teams you beat, and the cowboys did not beat the giants.
One last thing, SWEEP! The east is in the hands of the eagles or giants, but certainly not the cowboys.
Ok Promin1, then I guess that makes you real tough whinney babies. ; )
flojo is nothing but a fat ass….
his next desperate move will be to bite a dudes ear off……
ROFL! “There goes his biscuts and gravy budget for the month.” Classic Vox!
Seriously though.. Goodell needs to get this fine thing translated into a percentage based one, just as American has stated above.
Chad Jackson gets $30k for wearing a damn hat on the bench and Adams gets $50k for a blatant foul in the middle of the field which could’ve, potentially, injured a player.
I wonder what Billy “White Shoes” Johnson would’ve been fined. Here’s a clip if you aren’t familiar with him. They always save the “best” for last. Enjoy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K0EVm7fi0iQ
funny thing is flozell is not very good.. i guess the cowboys like having at least 5 yards taking away from them each week.. why can’t this guy just know the snap count….
not a giants fan but
“That’ll never happen so long as he’s just kicking Justin Tuck’s ass.”
do not know the stats between tuck and sacks or tackles vs the cowboys.. also do not care but.. i believe the giants are 2-0 against the cowboys this year…. so do not know why anyone would defend flozell here… its december, cowboys have a very tough schedule… you wont be making comments on here come january VOX so good luck to you. see you around april/may…another cowboys flop in december…
Mistake on the leagues part, he needs to be sat down. take a couple game checks and you can assume his behavior would change.
I see Vox is back in his element, defending his cheap snot team.
lol i guess i shouldnt be surprised by voxveritas’ homer comments. if somebody cheap shots tony romo on the same exact kind of play id love to see him say the exact same kind of comments he just said…..except he wouldnt cuz hes a troll who says stupid sht about every other team and wants his team to buy/cheap shot/cheat/do anything it takes for his team to win(not saying his team does) but if another team does it he’ll post all kinds of remarks about it that a stupid teen living in a basement would say
@ onesweetworld
“Must be nice to have Jerry Jones has a owner. Play dirty, smoke crack, beat women, whatever as long as you play for the cowboys you can do whatever you want without serious consequence…..”
This has to be the dumbest thing I have ever read and besides the Rush Limbaugh comments the most ignorant (and by ignorant I mean the real definition not the one people call one when you dont agree to something). For the love of all that is holy please tell me what other Cowboys player plays dirty, smokes crack, beats women or breaks any other law? If you are going to use examples of things that happened in the 90′s then we get to keep referring to the glory days of the 90′s. You can’t have it both ways moron.
Upon further review (after reading all the comments)… I’ve come to this conclusion… The Dallas Cowboys STILL suck!
Ah yes, Vox, the Cowboys are a real classy organization….
Whether we talk about the time Michael Irvin stabbed his teammate Everett McIver in the neck with a pair of scissors because he wouldn’t get out of the barber chair, or players with fading skills who have to cheat in order to compete – like Flozell Adams. Class all the way through.
Had Tuck retaliated against Flozell, he would have been suspended.
The league was probably thinking of suspending Flozell for the playoffs, until they realized they won’t have to – because the Cowboys won’t make it this year – continuing their streak of Zero playoff wins.
Cowboys were embarassed in the debut of their tacky stadium (you know, the one with the stripper poles in the end zone), and came up to Giant Stadium for revenge – and lost again. I guess the only way your team can compete is by playing dirty. Too bad it doesn’t work.
@ seatofmypants
Another post of pure idiocy. What Irvin did in the early 90′s is irrelevant. That doesn’t apply to the here and now and aside from that washed up piece of crap Flozell, name me one dirty Cowboys player? You can’t because they don’t have any. I am sorry that your team doesn’t have a large enough fan base to support the construction of a stadium with the ammenities and size that Dallas needs. I am sorry your team doesn’t have a history of Superbowl wins, I am assuming you are an Eagles fan. I am sorry that the Cowboys are the most profitable NFL team and can afford to build an amazing stadium for their fans to enjoy the game. I am sorry that you are a terd and speak of stupidity when you try to be humerous on a PFT comment. I am sorry that you have no ability to come up with something creative on your own and had to reference playoff wins. Further more I am sorry to every person on here who has to read things that people like you post.
Let me summarize your point: The Cowboys havent won a playoff game in a while, Romo is a Homo, their TV will get hit by punts, Cowboys are dirty… Everyone has already said all of this stuff. Either use what little intelligence you have to come up with something creative or move on.
How much does the NFL wish to curb violent behavior? Just as much as they wish to outlaw the wearing of Ochocinco’s “snappy zarape” and sombrero.
Both fined $50K. One was overt aggressiveness after the play, while the other was selfish exibitionism.
Your true colors are showing, Mr. Goodell.
“Another post of pure idiocy. What Irvin did in the early 90′s is irrelevant”
then I guess you Cowboys homers are going to stop blathering about their prehistoric Super Bowl rings too…
It is not a fine, it’s a tax deduction. All NFL players that are fined, all of the money to NFL Charities. So Flozell has a big tax deduction for 2009 and a spot on the NFL’s infomercial on NFL Charities. Big Deal.
I am more interested in the Charger/Cowboy game than anything this ass-clown does.
Can the Cowboys break the Charger streak of winning their last fifteen games in a row in December? I hope not.
Will Scifres the Charger punter hit the scoreboard? Most likely.
“I wonder how much Jerry Jones paid Roger Goodell not to suspend his beloved Cowboy buddy……”
these are the crack inspired comments that amuse me.
You want to say Jerry Jones has bought the league ..
That’s pretty stupid on so many levels considering they fined him a huge amount of money over his revenue sharing remarks and also because if he paid anyone off, don’t you feel he would have bought a playoff game or two?
Think before you type.
@ lcbrownz
As you can see my above post, when people stop referring to the 90′s to bash the Cowboys, we’ll stop referring to the 90′s to celebrate them.
Giants fans seriously need bibs. Sorry your whiny, over-rated defensive player got pushed during a game of FOOTBALL. Here’s a sippy cup.

Really? Ask Pacman Jones about that.
bunch of whiney posters out here…this league is a physical violent game and you see that all the time on the field. Adams pushed him down from behind but Tuck took a huge flop on that one.
I guess we should turn this league into the flag football league as you cannot hit anybody anymore.
time for my boys to turn the heat up and kick some ass to the SB.
50K for pushing someone? What the heck would have it been if he actually hit him. Just put a dress on Tuck.
This is just hysterical, reading all the appologists for a Cheapshot Dirtbag ! but if it was a player from another team cowboy fans would be the first to pile on. HYPOCRITS !
How much does the NFL wish to curb violent behavior? Just as much as they wish to outlaw the wearing of Ochocinco’s “snappy zarape” and sombrero.

That would be a great story if it were true. Chad wasn’t fined 50 K.
If the NFL wants to eliminate dirty hits there is one good solution. You are suspended for as long as the player you injured is out. If they did that the incidence of dirty hits would drop by about 95%.
@ dakotah
pacman was a multiple suspension offender conditionally allowed to join/stay with a team as long as he didn’t further violate league rules.
JJ’s b*tch goodell had already publicly stated that prior to his return.
No other player ( not on the cowboys ) wouldn’t be suspended for a 4th consecutive offence.
For the record, I’m not by any means defending Adams. He’s done alot for Dallas over his career, but damn if his screw-ups don’t overshadow the positive. He should be fined, absolutely, perhaps benched, I dunno. But he didn’t send Tuck to the hospital or end his season.
And if it’d been the other way around, with say, DeMarcus Ware on the receiving end of a cheapshot, not a single one of you would defend him as a player. Hell hath no fury like a Cowboy-hater scorned.
Talk about hypocrisy.
To my fellow Cowboy fans and haters alike…
Anybody that enjoys football should be disgusted by that play. It was a cheap shot that has no place in a real competition. Flo should not only be fined a substantial amount as a repeat offender (although we have to remember he has trouble counting past 3 or he’d handle the snap count better), he should be sitting on the bench for the San Diego game.
If the league won’t do it, Jerry should. I’d say Wade should, but let’s face it, our “coach” isn’t allowed to promote discipline.
Flo is the last classless player left on this team after the housecleaning in the offseason (bye Pacman, Tank, T.O., etc.). Let’s get him and his fading skills get the hell off our football team.
@ Dawkphan:
I’m going to enjoy tearing apart your comment, Clarice.
Your username indicates you harbor a serious man-crush for Brian Dawkins. (Got that candle in the window, do ya?) Well here’s a little factoid for you to chew for the rest of your day: Your man-love, Mr. Dawkins, was fined $50,000 in ’02 for a late (and season ending) hit on NYG WR Ike Hilliard.
Now, I’ll bet anything you could go into great detail in defending his actions, or watering them down, can’t you?
And with that username, you call other hypocrites… or “HIPOCRITS”, rather.
Your level of absolute stupidity is astounding, a personal record for you, isn’t it?
@mikeoxlong – willmoose said the league would never suspend a Cowboy, I pointed out that this was incorrect.
Your contention, “No other player ( not on the cowboys ) wouldn’t be suspended for a 4th consecutive offence.” is just whining that the Cowboys play by different rules than everyone else. I don’t buy it. Goodell has fined JJones for talking about contract negotiations and suspended a Cowboy’s coach for doctor prescribed HGH use. I believe Roy Williams (the safety) was suspended for horse collar tackles.
I’m not defending FA’s actions – I wouldn’t have been surprised to see him get a 1 game suspension for this.
If Flozell Adams played for the Jacksonville Jaguars, this topic would get fewer posts- after all, it seems that EVERYONE bashes the Cowboys.
