I have a feeling Ray wouldn’t have made those comments two seasons ago. There is nothing special about the city, or the historic stadium. because the team traded it’s heart and soul away to the Jets.
And that important piece of history joined the arch enemy team in vengeance and has spiked this Packer team twice now on his way to winning that enemy team its first Super Bowl.
The magic is gone in Green Bay folks, and the ones you have to thank for it is Ted Thompson, Mike McCarthy, and you!!!

Dude, Lambeau field probably gets more tourists a year than your entire fudging city gets. Go to Lambeau on any day of the week and you’ll meet people from all over the U.S.
My family has 10 season tickets to the Packers going back to the 1950s. I love Lambeau.
Green Bay….meh… Not much different than any other midwest town of 100k people. Still, Rice shouldn’t be hating.

When you have a city with 102,364 people like Green Bay ……..and the waiting list for games in Sellout City is (75,000) 16 years is a Major Acheivement.
Green Bay is a Great City. So, its not Baltimore…
Its 102,000 fans On any Given Sunday…..AND I am proud of Packer Nation……Does Baltimore gave abackup of seats stretching into years?

I went to Wyoming to work one summer a few years ago and met people from all over the country. I have blonde hair, blue eyes, and (since it was summer) I was tan. Everyone thought I was from California and couldn’t fathom that I was really from Wisconsin. Because I’m not fat and eating cheese and drinking Leine’s and don’t have a serial killer for a dad, I can’t possibly be from Wisconsin. You guys think you’re cool because of where you live? Hah! If only that could make a person cool.
And let’s not forget, when I go to Lambeau or the Leine Lodge, YOU GUYS are the ones visiting with your camera around your neck and your brand new overpriced gift shop t-shirt on.

I have an actual unique perspective. I’m 28, grew up in Wisconsin near Green Bay, went to the University of Wisconsin in Madison, and have lived for the past 6 yrs in Manhattan/Brooklyn/and New Rochelle (btw…New Rochelle is considered pretty tony even compared to Manhattan for anyone who only knows NYC for Times Square). Oh yeah, and I visit Baltimore on occasion
So yes, I have experienced all 3 cities and lived in 2 of them. They are all completely different. You won’t find a person in the 5 boroughs (or burbs) who doesn’t wish to get out of our city every few months for a more relaxed break, whether its Vermont, the Poconos or Pa., the Midwest, or upstate New York. And yes, most who live in Manhattan and the boroughs enjoy weekly trips to Costco, Walmart, or Target since everything is so damn expensive.
The common denominator is no matter the personality the vast majority in NYC and Green Bay is that people are real. The only difference is whether you like to live in a city and vacation in smaller places or vice versa. As for Baltimore, I much prefer it to D.C. for the same reason. The people. To tell you the truth, its the Regional cities (Charlotte, St. Louis, etc.) that I have the hardest time imagining wanting to live in.
So I’ll forgive Ray Rice on this one. He was mad. I still like him. And I still love the Packers. Oh yeah, and for the pseudo racist comments, I’m white. But yes, I have many black friends in Wisconsin and NYC.
As for Rutgers, its a Big Ten type university with more diversity which is always a good thing.

Visit Anchorage, Alaska or Wasilla and it’s great out there during the summer. People take cruises up there and all that jazz.
Can catch salmon on the river banks around 35 easily, go to the bay and king salmon are common 80-100lbs. Deep sea fishing is a whole nother story, could chop up your 150+ tuna for bait.
Problem comes with the winter that lasts forever. Some places are great to visit but hell to live and other are the opposite. Love how people get riled up over what a 22 year old athlete thinks.

Maybe Ray should worry about the performance of his offense a little more than cracking on a city that didn’t meet his “delicate sensibilities”. I for one am proud to live in the Green Bay area. Not every city has to be a playground for rich/whiney athletes. Why is a city a s**thole if you enjoy a certain type of living. Just because we don’t have high rises and subways doesn’t make the area backwards. I myself and plenty of others who live in the area would be absolutely miserable living the lifestyle that many larger cities offer. I don’t consider those places s**tholes, but I also know I would never want to live there. How about some perspective here, I for one don’t think we should be worrying about what a guy who’s “visited” Green Bay for what amounts at the most to 48-72 hours thinks. After all, we in the area aim to placate and entertain every single person who visits. Wonder if Ray would think GB is a s**thole if he was a free agent someday and GB offered him the most $$$?

What freakin town doesn’t have a Wal Mart? How many of you do NOT shop at Wal Mart? DO NOT Lie? Met my wife in Baltimore. Beautiful city. First date was an Orioles game. Love Green Bay & Lambeau. If I had to make a choice it would be GB because I like snow, cold weather and country living. Not a big city guy but I can order off a freakin menu with no price tags–in FRENCH.
