Singletary has never seen so many bad calls

San Francisco 49ers coach Mike Singletary was not happy with the officiating in Sunday’s loss to the Seattle Seahawks.

“Obviously there were bad calls made and I think in every game there are bad calls made,” Singletary said on Monday. “Yesterday, for me, there were just a few more than I had witnessed maybe since I’ve been in the league.”

More bad calls than Singletary has witnessed he’s been in the league? Wow.

Singletary was drafted by the Chicago Bears in 1981 and played 12 seasons, and he’s now been coaching in the NFL for six seasons. He’s been in the league a long time.

Singletary didn’t want to get into specific bad calls, and he said he wasn’t trying to blame the officials for the loss. But he was apparently upset that the officials didn’t call pass interference on the Seahawks on one key play, and he also thought the officials weren’t giving the 49ers’ defense enough time to substitute between plays.

Singletary said he’s sending a letter to the league with “several paragraphs” detailing his objections to the officiating.
