Adrian Peterson, Percy Harvin sit out Vikings’ practice

Two of the Minnesota Vikings’ top offensive players were held out of practice today.

Running back Adrian Peterson was listed on the official injury report as not participating with foot and ankle injuries, while wide receiver Percy Harvin was listed as not participating with an illness.

Harvin has repeatedly shown up on the injury report with an unspecified illness, reportedly because he suffers from migraine headaches. But he hasn’t missed any games and is second on the team in receptions and receiving yards.

Peterson hasn’t missed any games, either, but maybe he needs some rest: He’s coming off by far his least productive game of the season, gaining just 19 yards on 13 carries in the Vikings’ loss to the Cardinals, and the week before that he fumbled twice against the Bears.
