Fresh from a stint with the Florida Tuskers of the UFL, former NFL offensive tackle Rob Petitti possibly will be getting another shot at resuming his career.
Per a league source, Petitti worked out on Tuesday with the Bills.
Once regarded as a first-round draft prospect, Petitti plunged to round seven in 2005, where he was picked by the Cowboys.
And he started 16 games as a rookie.
But he was in New Orleans come 2006, where he appeared in only one game. With the Rams in 2007, Petitti played in five games, starting one.
The Cowboys actually drafted Pettiti in the sixth round, #209 overall, not the seventh round. Wikipedia has it wrong.
god your old florio
He has a real shot in Buffalo… just a couple weeks ago the Bills were picking up free agents on a Tuesday and putting them in the starting lineup on Sunday…
So this is what happens when you trade/cut your top two tackles and lose 4 other lineman throughout the year.
Ralph is cheap.
I thought Pettiti did a brief stint with The RedButts, too. Oh, that was Fabini. Pettiti, Fabini, Houdini, whatevah !
Bills got a steal when they got rid of no-talent, fat head Peters. Good for him getting his dough, but don’t bash the Bills for shipping him out. He is not that good. Bills O-line is surprisingly good for being third stingers, but they still can’t run the ball, that’s the o-line’s fault and Marshawn for dancing. Use Fred-o.
Neat (snap snap). Sweet (snap snap). Pettiti.
Robbie is a good kid. He will help their line for sure.
