Maybe I am missing something here. I have lived near both Green Bay and Baltimore over the years and found:
Green Bay has a nice lake for inexpensive boating and fishing, a casino, every restaurant you would like to be at with very reasonable prices with excellent food, cheap golf courses, low crime rate, excellent schools, nice people, not very crowded and a professional football team that has won 12 championships. Professional Basketball and Baseball are an 1:45 min drive.
Baltimore has no real fishing or boating opportunities without serious cash, no casino (maybe they have one now), expensive restaurants with decent food, expensive golf courses, high crime rate, poor school system, rude people, is very crowded and a professional baseball that nobody seems to care about and professional football team that has won 1 championship.
No comparison. Loser Ray Rice. Spend some time there before you rip a place. Wait, actually don’t spend time there, your too big of a jerk.

Ray Rice’s comments have nothing to do with Brett Favre, life still goes on for the Packers in GB, and it will be going on longer than any of us will be alive.
Rice is young and ignorant enough to think the Ravens will someday win it all with him. Well Ed Reed & Ray Lewis are on the wrongside of their primes and Joe Flacco isn’t lighting anybody up anymore this season.
Rice will feel truly sorry for his comments when he gets to 30 and is in a contract year and wants to go to a contender. He will look around at the contenders and see GB with a winning franchise and plenty of money to spend, but they won’t be throwing him a bone.

I always laugh when I see people who are jammed into cars for hours at a time, stressed to maximum, trying to find peace in a place of chaos(like most major metropolitan areas) come to Green Bay and call it a craphole. Perhaps you need new glasses.
I live in a not-far-away tourist area now filled with residents formerly from large cities who literally couldn’t leave your “paradises” fast enough. So one person’s craphole is another person’s nirvana.
As an example, part of Baltimore should be declared a third-world nation. That doesn’t exist in Green Bay. Enough of that.
In the months of May through October, I challenge anyone to find better weather than exists in the Upper Midwest. It isn’t a bad place to live if you don’t care about all that big city garbage. The coastline around Green Bay is very nice, and I’ve seen both coasts.
A national network anchor I spoke to one time said she always liked the Midwest because she felt it was one of the few places where she felt America was still solid.
So please, if you enjoy where you live, great. But don’t say Green Bay is craphole just because it isn’t your cup of tea.
It is the beginnings of the sport you enjoy, a tradition in a country where “long-term” is considered something from last week. It’s a time when sport meant more than how much money you can yank from the fans and neighbors matter. The Packers have stayed important in an era of big-shots and money…as evidenced by the liklihood that WE’LL BE IN THE PLAYOFFS AND THE COWBOYS(and Ravesn) PROBABLY WON’T.

You have a football player who’s only in town to win a game, not sightsee. His team loses and an idiot reporter ask how he likes the town, be real. I was born, raised and live in Baltimore and laugh when I read the narrow-minded comments about the crime here (and will not honor those comments with uninformed responses about Green Bay). I’m just glad for all of you that you found the perfect city to live with no criminal activity at all and if that’s all you know of Bmore, read a book every now and then.

@Crazydiamond- I don’t think any Packer fans really want the Vikings to move and destroy that rivalry. But here is an example of why it would be fitting.
When I was in college and the T-Wolves had KG and Cassell and were making their runs in the playoffs, upper deck tickets were $35 and lower were in the $80′s. Couldn’t buy ‘em without scalping. They were packed every night. Billboards all over the city with KG MVP on them. T-Wolves crazy town.
5 years later, with a young team and an exciting brand of ball, they are offering season ticket packages starting at 5 bucks a game. I went the other night…because I got 15th row for free. I was walking through the IDS Center and Coordinated Business Systems was giving them away. I bet there wasn’t 3,000 people there.
You don’t that kind of reputation for being fair weather and bandwagon fans unless there is truth to it. These people can’t support a team. It took the North Stars leaving to get them to sell out the Wild in the “State of Hockey.”
