Hines Ward will play tonight

Well, Steelers receiver Hines Ward definitely puts his money where his mouth is.

Less than two weeks after suggesting that quarterback Ben Roethlisberger should have lied to doctors regarding post-concussion symptoms so that Ben could participate in a “must” win game against the Ravens, Ward plans to play in another “must” win game, despite a hamstring injury.

Rachel Nichols of ESPN reports that Ward will play.

You know I wasn’t going to miss this game,” Ward told Nichols.  A cynic might interpret Ward’s choice of words as another backhanded slap at Big Ben.

On Monday, coach Mike Tomlin described Ward as “very questionable” for the game.  On Tuesday, Tomlin said that the circumstances were “not favorable” for Ward.

Digging deep Florio to try and stir up a “controversy”?? How is that back-handed shot at Ben in any way??? More of him knowing that, with his recent comments, he’ll catch hell by the fans and media if he doesn’t play. Simple as that.

Florio, will you stop!!!! It’s not a backhanded slap at anyone. He’s able to play so he’s going to play. I swear you’re just a gleeful little pot-stirrer, aren’t you?
The only thing that matters is … Limas Sweed can relax and stop repeating after me “The ball is mine. The ball is mine. I am one with the ball.”
    Whew!

A lose to the Brownies puts the feather in the cap on the Squealers season. Tomlin should think about losing out so they can draft someone on defense is worth a damn.

Stir empty pot. Click. Season with innuendo. Click, click. Add hint of wild supposition, with lawyerly qualifier (known as the “weasel line”), click click click. Burt Farve post, CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK!
And so is built the Florio Internet Empire.

I would have more confidence in the Steelers tonight if Hines were filling in for William Gay at CB rather than playing WR.

Doesn’t matter, the wind is howling at 50+ mph. Passing game will be non-existant tonight.

Ward is a cancer to that locker room and they need o get rid of him! They had the same problem with Alan Faneca and won a superbowl after clearing him out of town!

Hines is only playing for the chance to put one of his patented dirty hits on Ben. The Steelers are a joke…and I’m lovin it.
