Titans quarterback Vince Young suffered a knee injury in the first half of Sunday’s loss to the Colts.
During practice on Thursday, Young aggravated the injury and left practice early, according to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean and Terry McCormick of the Nashville City Paper.
He was seen limping after throwing a pass to Lavelle Hawkins. Young then fell to the turf.
“Vince injured his knee in the game, which I think you’re all aware of. He’s been trying to push through practice,” coach Jeff Fisher said. “He just had a little setback, and we just shut him down. He just had a setback, and we’ll tend to him inside and see how he is tomorrow. . . .
“We expect he’ll be able to play, but he did not finish practice,” Fisher said.
Fisher was asked whether starter-turned-backup-turned-starter-turned-backup Kerry Collins would be ready to play if Young can’t. “He has been deer hunting every day. He doesn’t come to practice or meetings, so I don’t know,” Fisher said, presumably while wearing his Peyton Manning jersey.
The Titans host the 1-11 Rams on Sunday, so they should be fine with either guy.
Then again, the last time Collins started, the Titans gave up 59 points, and scored zero.
