Less than two weeks after Panthers linebacker Jon Beason was arrested for assault, the charges have been dismissed.
Mecklenburg Assistant District Attorney Bruce Lillie said Friday there was not evidence to prosecute Beason.
A man is suing Beason in a civil case, alleging that Beason punched him.
“We are obviously pleased and it validates what Jon told us from the beginning,” Panthers G.M. Marty Hurney said Friday.
Beason’s lawyer denies that his client struck anyone, while the civil case alleges Beason punched Gregory C. Frye twice. The Charlotte Observer details an interesting history of criminal charges and civil complaints in Frye’s past.
Paid him off, eh?
your days without arrest doesn’t jive with your police blotter. Last arrest listed is from October 27.
For all those that called him a thug, and didn’t listen when I said to check out the accuser’s criminal record, it just shows you are the idiots.
“I know, I’ll make an asinine comment before I get all the facts.”
Dumb asses.
Was this dude Tila Tequila?
I am with Hugh on this do your research on a player and his accuser before making dumb ass comments.
So much for the easy money, eh Frye?
Talked to someone who knows this dude. Says he mouths off when he drinks and it happens all the time. Suppose to be training for MMA, looks like he’s 0-1 already.
