The Kansas City Chiefs’ sellout streak lives for another week.
Although a local TV blackout looked inevitable earlier this week, the Chiefs announced today that Sunday’s game with the Buffalo Bills at Arrowhead Stadium will be televised locally. It’s the Chiefs’ 156th consecutive sellout, a streak that goes back 19 years.
But it wasn’t easy for the Chiefs to sell out Sunday’s game. They first had to ask for and receive a 24-hour extension to the NFL’s usual blackout deadline of 72 hours before kickoff, and the local CBS affiliate says it helped all it could.
A week from now the Chiefs may have an even more difficult time selling out Arrowhead Stadium, as they’re hosting the Browns.
It’s a pretty sad state of affairs here in KC. It wasn’t that long ago that this was the hardest ticket in town to get. Now, you can barely give them away. Hopefully the front office realizes that in order to sell out the games, you need to put a good product on the field, or this kind of thing happens. I’ll be thinking twice before I renew my season tickets for next year. Here’s to hoping that the Chiefs look decent on Sunday.
hell they will beat the browns
they may win 2 games in a row again i bet
Chiefs vs. Browns.
Like watching a car accident in slow motion. Vrabel might have to give himself the finger in that one.
I hate to say I told you so… but…
The Chiefs should roll over the Browns though. I mean, the Browns could hardly beat the lowly Steelers last night.
Poor Chiefs fan will be subjected to watching them play…
Browns at Chiefs – two teams that beat the “World” champions over the past few weeks …. what a matchup woohoo!
it will be a thriller like the Lions-Browns game fosho
