Wow, all the good comments and spelling accuracies.
First things first. Florio, please install a spell checker on here … for the “smart” ones.
Next, Mr. Dungy is the classiest person in all of sports, and probably the United States. It’s too bad Football Night in America is not on cable, then all of you posting the negatives comments about how bad he is wouldn’t have to worry about watching him.
I have lived in Tampa all my life and would give anything to have him back in Raymond James stadium.

Correction, he did NOT get it done in Tampa. Gruden won the SB with the players, not him. And any coach that has Peyton Manning as the Qback should have a good if not great record. Those results speak for themselves.

As long as Dungy gets off of the post game and pre-game shows I’ll be happy. I know he’s a good man, but damn, he sounds like a muppet. And I really don’t care what he has to say. He’s just bad for TV. And to have him up there with Steroid Rodney, what a joke. The only thing those two can do is kiss the ass of their former teams. I don’t even hear objective opinions out of either. Just get the Muppet and Steroid Cheater off the damn air. They suck!

Attitudes like yours is the reason the black community has not progressed at the same rate as other minorities in the US. Why is it that in order to be considered “black” you have to speak with broken english and live off of food stamps….like it’s prerequisite for being “black.”
And you wonder why some people don’t respect black people. It’s because it seems like the majoriy of black people don’t like and/or respect the most successful people of their own race. It’s like you celebrate the fact that your uneducated and make no contribution to society.

I think these comments are hilarious.
First, TD is an exceptional commentator with awesome insight about how plays break down. Why do you think the Colts are pissy about his FNIA analysis? It’s not due to a lack of detail, that’s for certain.
Second, TD was a fantastic coach (148-79-0 HC record). He got it done in Tampa. He got it done in Indy. For all of you who are referring to his “choking,” I think it’s pretty self-evident that getting to the playoffs is tough on its own. Just ask all of the coaches in the carousel who get whacked every year. The fact that his team won a Super Bowl is an undeniable reality. Yeah, winning the Super Bowl is just a fluke, right? Got it.
You don’t have to like him, but the results speak for themselves.

There essentially is no true African Americans that have been here since slavery ended. Just as there are no true Irish either.
They may be descended from Africans, but from a scientific point they would be calssified as hybrids. Look at a true African, then look at African Americans. Don’t use Dungy as the example.

Dungy says he won’t return to coaching, but if he did return, I don’t think it would mean he wasn’t being honest. He might sincerely plan never to return, and then realize how much he misses the game and working with young players. Having a change of heart isn’t dishonest

Only person I want to see away from broadcasting more than Gruden. Guy needs to spew his hate elsewhere, go on Countdown with Olbermann and talk your racial politics, don’t want it on my pregame show.

To clarify, Dungy never mentioned what school he referred Tomlin to. 100+ Division I schools and each have seperate ideal candidates they might want. Maybe they just went 3 coaches without HC experience and want HC experience. Maybe they want a well-known HC to take over – Notre Dame for instance, unknown coach would not work there.
By not giving up the schools name you give them no chance to respond to why they didn’t. It is just race baiting. Not saying he was wrong, just saying he didn’t give anyone a chance to respond to his claims.

Olbermann makes me puke. When he is a guest on Dan Patrick’s radio show I risk crashing my truck trying to change stations so fast. Sometimes within seconds he already blames a poorly thrown pass on Bush.
Let me clarify by saying George W. Bush not a hottie cheeerleader as the latter would be an acceptable excuse!!
