Dallas Cowboys tight end Martellus Bennett will not play in Sunday’s game against the San Diego Chargers after dealing all week with the symptoms of a concussion he suffered against the New York Giants.
Cowboys coach Wade Phillips announced today that Bennett is out Sunday.
Bennett has missed practiced all week and complained that he was having headaches and a feeling of fogginess. Phillips also said Bennett had complained that “his eyes were hurting.”
Bennett, who is sixth on the team with 15 catches for 159 yards, will be replaced in the Cowboys’ offense by rookie John Phillips.
Cowboys safety Ken Hamlin, who has a high right ankle sprain, has also been declared out for the Chargers game.

It is not a concussion…he sprained his vagina.
Hope he gets well and this doesn’t effect him the rest his life. Marty is not the most mature of the young players out there, but he has showed promise.
With that said, Phillips gets a shot to showcase his talents.
Let’s see how the brain trust that is Jsson Garrett (and Wade?) handle showcasing this young man’s talents.

I was watching a show on PBS last night about the Carthenian-Roman conflict and there in the background I saw it, the Cowboys winning a SuperBowl.
So Vox is right, they haven’t ALWAYS sucked.
He sure wasn’t complaining the other day on “The Marty B Show” on the Ticket.
He was joking around as always.
Are they sure it’s consussion symptoms? After reading his blog I kinda figured those were permanent brain malfunctions.
There’s nothing wrong with him, he just sucks. Everyone thought he was going to have this breakout year and he’s done nothing.

he drops too many passes to be a TE in the NFL, he’s not even a good blocker, the kid has potential, but maybe this ringer is the wake up call he needs. This concussion is his “welcome to the NFL”, he wasn’t formally indoctrinated last year.
Phillips also said Bennett had complained that “his eyes were hurting.”
Phillips then asked if his face hurt…because it was killing him.
I hope it won’t hurt his performance in the black people olympics. He won the gold in the last one he put on youtube.
