Redskins' Haynesworth, Hall, Sellers out vs. Raiders

Washington Redskins defensive tackle Albert Haynesworth, cornerback DeAngelo Hall and fullback Mike Sellers will all miss Sunday’s game against the Oakland Raiders.

The news about Haynesworth, the Redskins’ $100 million man, is particularly disappointing: He has played well when healthy, but an ankle injury has bothered him for the last month, and he’ll miss his third game on Sunday.

The Hall news isn’t quite as significant, although Oakland writer Jerry McDonald noted that Hall’s absence against Raiders receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey means fans will be deprived of the matchup between the receiver who can’t get open and the cornerback who can’t cover anyone.

Sellers, who had to be hospitalized because of a serious thigh bruise in Sunday’s loss to the Saints, had already been ruled out for the game against the Raiders.

Nice. 180 million bucks signed in the offseason, parked on the sideline.

I was looking forward to Schilens or Murphy completely tearing up DeAngelo Hall like he let Eddie Royal do to us last year ..

…….I think if they had 53 guys on the inactively list, they might actually fair better……..certainly no worse.

That crack about Hall & Heyward-Bay is really funny.

Gradkowski is gonna make swiss cheese out of the Skins secondary and Fargas is going for over 100 yards for the first time this season, Schilens and Murphy going for 70+ yards a piece.

Heyward Bey can’t get open or catch a pass…..I would have never guessed. After going 7th overall he should be catching everything thrown in the air. Unfortunately, Al Davis’s genius mind has gone down the Crapper and things don’t always work out for you.

With Hall out, the Redskins pass defense just got better.

Crap, I was looking forward to Hall playing.
    Oh well.

So glad the Redskins made the wise decision of ignoring the offensive line and depth to put millions of dollars into Haynesworth, knowing he’d last the entire season.

No doubt, Hall being out gives the Redskin secondary a boost.

I can’t wait to see how the Redskins will lose this game just like they did against the Cowboys/Eagles/Saints. Zorn=most conservative/pathetic person in football right now.

I am looking forward to the Raiders going .500 vs the all mighty NFC East (sarcasim).
