Reed, Clayton doubtful to play for Ravens

Baltimore’s playoff hopes got a boost Thursday, but Friday hasn’t gone as well.

The Ravens listed safety Ed Reed (hip) as doubtful for Sunday’s game against the Lions, meaning he has a 75% chance of missing his second straight game.

Starting wideout Mark Clayton (knee), tight end L.J. Smith (ankle), David Hale (head) are also doubtful.

The defense will likely be without Reed, but may get Terrell Suggs back in the lineup. He was upgraded from last week’s designation and is questionable. Tackle Jared Gaither (foot), linebacker Jarret Johnson (back), and defensive tackle Brandon McKinney (back) are all questionable.

All six of Baltimore’s losses came against winning teams. If that’s any indication, they should hold serve the next two weeks at home against the Lions and Bears.
